Thanks Susan. Joe has done another one just like that. I've just received the engraved name plates for benches so nearly done with that episode. Spoilers...I couldn't manage to get your particular suggestion sorted. That may take a little more effort and time :)

Love silver birch, they are Hardy despite the occasional branch losses. Me and Billy have a yamadori and few collected as saplings from friends. Billy and bonnie love the animals in the forest at 7:28 minutes 😍 they like toys place little pets in our trees and dioramas. Loving the humour clips too 😄

Very nicely done! Lovely combination - just perfect. Wonderful when all the pieces come together at once. You may need to water more or place in shade on those very hot or windy days. Our summers seem to be getting hotter and hotter!!

Interesting tree. V natural-looking. Here in the Calder Valley many (beech) plantations were clear felled in WW2. Since then birch has grown back naturally. Lots of trees like yours.

That's interesting. Birch self seed so easily they can become a bit of an invasive species in our woodands.

It is definitely soemthing I am still getting to grips with. My biggest issue is developing a structure and then having the branch die a few years later :(

All that’s gonna happen, I’m just going to clip it back to the trunk and get rid of all the roots, well I was pleasantly surprised to see a tree in the final shots 🤣🤣 that’s an epic tree dude, love the collaboration between the trunk and the pot.

Hi Xav. I don’t want to take off too much root then endeavour to cut the roots back, you say that nearly every time 😅. That’s a very nice silver birch my friend the pot is perfect for the tree I love the texture it has, thanks for showing my trees Xav,. You keep on the waffle as much as you like. Good Friday a special day, that weekend I remember was not too good weather wise.

It poured with rain most of that weekend. Unfortunately, me tryign to stop waffling is like me trying to be good at bonsai :)

@@XaviersBonsaiRetreat Hi Xav you are good at what you do with bonsai, are you a bonsai artist NO, no more am I, we do what we can supported by others in your case lots of others, so keep doing what you enjoy doing as I do. I will send you a few pictures of some of my maples which are looking really good and healthy, I have kept them in the shade which has helped. To keep them looking pristine I have done a quick prune and tidy up. Just had a large delivery of soil for my Junipers etc from Kaizen, now I am knackered. Joe.

Nice selection in Subs Corner. Sharon’s photo challenge is a gem. I was sent a card recently which had this image on it and I’m searching around to try and find a tree which I can use to replicate this image. Oh. - and nice tree Xavier !!

Hi Xav, thanks for the great instructional video. I always learn something from you and the humor is a big +. Just to let you know the link to contact Mat to inquire about purchasing one of his root rakes doesn't work. Been wanting one of those. Has he stopped selling them?
