@@lsccarvideosI'm going to have to remind you dude if I ever bought that car used from one of Audi's dealerships worst even one of Volkswagens dealerships in my hometown Jacksonville in the Orange Park area next to it is another Audi dealership besides Volkswagen owns Audi and Porsche and yet they still got the worst German technology ever and most of their cars and SUVs from the 2000s are endless money pits as they age when they're three or four years old or 20 years old or 22 or 23 years or 24 years old they have a lot of electrical issues take example the car battery under the hood or wherever the car battery mileage is terrible so is the gas mileage and the oil mileage the brake fluid mileage is terrible current mileage is terrible my advice would go to you mate find yourself a decent car like a Japanese car take Toyota and it's sister Lexus for example they are from the same country as each other also Nissan and it's sister Infiniti they are sister car brands as well they have some decent cars from the past decent quality my advice will be stay away from any German car when you're born in the same country as me the United States of North America that car right there you have in your possession it's not worth a shit keeping so please do yourself a favor and get rid of that car it's not worth having in your name and believe me I would kick the tire of that car and the bumper if the car broke down on me if multiple times of pumping the gas pedal while trying to start the car back up if I was driving a Q7 one of Audis piece of shit German SUVs I would seriously so please do yourself a favor and let a carjacker steal the vehicle that would be another way how you would want rid of the vehicle that vehicle should go to the junkyard like all German cars should when their respective brand name is in the United States of North America

You Have Just Saved Me $586.00 USD I just got home from the dealer, they explained the proces and gave me a quote for close to 600 usd for thr remote and reprogramming wich they charge separate. So I come home look up your vid and TADDA!!!! where can I send you a donation???

Did you do yours on an Audi Q7 or A4 A6 A7 A8 ? I am in a similar situation i am trying to figure out how to get done without having to go to the dealership. Can you explain in full detail if you could an remember if you don't mind doing so. I have original key i got when i bought vehicle. I just got another key fob to have as a spare but its not programmed to my vehicle. I want to know how that procedure goes Thank you.

I use the methot: Put on contact & start the engine while holding the unlock button. After that it can lock/unlock/trunk & up/down the windows.

Thanks J Mart! This is what I had to do: Put the key in the ignition, turn the key to on, press the lock button at least one second, take the key out of the ignition. Then repeat the same step a second time for completion. It seems that doing it twice is what sends the signals that this Key is the Right Key; Program It. (I found out that the key did not program when I did the steps only one time.) That is what I followed since J Mart stated in a comment that you had to do it a second time. This important information J Mart left off the video, maybe he was thinking it only needed one series of steps. It needs the same set of steps twice.

I have a 2012 Audi A6. One of the key FOBs works fine but the other I had not used for some years. When I tried it recently it didn't work, so I replaced battery but still didn't work. I tried the manual lock unlock door and then try, still didn't work. Then tried placing FOB near the dashboard which shows key sign, and still nothing. Has the key got desynced from the car. What else can I try?

Nothing comes to mind besides calling the dealership maybe there is something specific for the 2012s that needs to be done.

@tyronetee4015 is it a newer model? With some newer cars you have to open the drivers door handle a bit and it exposes the key hole. You may have to Google your specific year/make/model to see if there's some info out there. Or call the dealer and ask.

@@lsccarvideosI have an after market key. If I can understand what you are doing; after turning to ACC you are pressing the lock button once. It’s not working for me with this key.

@mrtracyut I do not know if it would work with an aftermarket key. I just did the video of reprogramming my old key. It's been several years and I don't have the car anymore to reshow how to do it.

After putting the key in the ignition, what did you press to reprogram it? I recently bought a 2007 Audi A4 and I was told aside from getting the key for $200 from the dealer, it's another $200 to reprogram it. I'd rather not have to spend an extra $200

I pushed the lock button after in the ignition. Took me a couple times do get it to work.
