We went up to North Las Vegas again!!! We arrived at our friend's house at about 2:30 p.m. and I was very fortunate that the trash had yet to be collected.
Unfortunately this truck is the same one that I filmed last year, except on recycle. I really wanted to film a different ZR though. Oh well, at least it is better than nothing and I've never filmed a ZR on trash before. This truck was also driven by a different driver and not the same one I filmed last year. After seeing some more ZR action again I have to say these trucks are not as fast as the Pythons.
Most notably this truck is the second ZR Republic ever bought for the Cheyenne yard. Republic bought even more ZRs last year that we've exceeded the 1500s numbering and now we're in the 1600s. I believe 1617 is the newest one I've seen. The new series of trucks are wrapped and look a lot like the ones that the Republic of Anahiem yard bought. I believe they bought more trucks because Las Vegas plans on automating sometime this year. They're the only ones left with manual collection. As for my yard, there has been talk, but no new truck has been seen yet. Eddie told me that later this year the new trucks should be arriving. I really wonder if they'll be Cheyenne transfers or if they'll be completely new trucks for the Henderson yard?
