Looks like the drummer for Republica deleted his arsey comment. Where he pretty much said we weren’t entitled to criticise this performance because we’d never penned a hit like Ready To Go. Only to then be called out by everyone because he wasn’t even in the band at the time the song was released.

Speaking from the perspective of a touring band, shit happens. Guitars go out (especially at outdoor shows and with drop tuning). There's many examples of Republica absolutely kicking ass on KZfaq. There are posts of my own band that I'm not proud of (and would literally pay to have removed) but that's life in social media!! I love this band and would never be deterred from seeing them based on 1 off day! Love to all of you.

Saffron performed brilliantly despite an out of tune guitar - she is such a trooper. Techy issues are hideous in a live performance - I know, I've had sh*tty monitors giving no foldback at all. But, you just crack on with it! Well done Republica - you rocked.

I am not a professional musician but I do have an understanding. I only discovered this Band 2 years ago. It started with Ready to Go and then I listen to the other tracks on KZfaq. Excellent band even though you joined later Connor, you were chosen for an ability that Republica noticed. Good work.

Hi, Conor here, the drummer from Republica...just been reading the comments - ouch!! To be fair, we were having an off day, in fact probably one of our worst! We had a whole heap of technical nightmares on stage that day: In-ear monitors failed, drum heads broke, guitars going horrendously out of tune, the laptop was playing up. Everything just gave up for no reason! Give us a break and go and watch some of our other performances on KZfaq before you pass judgement. We'll listen to your criticisms when you've had a platinum selling album, and gone to No. 1 in 14 different countries :-) Peace! X

Holy crap! What the hell was wrong with that guitar being completely out of tune??? Sounds like a digital backing recording being played at the wrong bitrate. (44KHz vs 48KHz)

I like this different version, it's live and spontaneous, the bass is ballsy, the keyboard effects are cool, the guitarist is not out of tune he's just in the wrong key, and maybe that's the monitor's fault and he couldn't hear himself, the drummer is tight and saffron is rocking it big time, she seeps sexuality---I have been in the concert lighting industry for over 30 years and there are always problems that need to be tweaked and perfected during the performance, I dig the shit out of republica and I hope they keep gigging for a long time...

Tell me , how does the guitarist play the intro, pre-chorus and chorus perfectly, but when the single note riff comes in the verses, he's a half step flat ? Everything is in tune except for the verse riff. Maybe too many disco biscuits in the heat of Russian disputations.

Saffron still amazing to look at and her voice is absolutely the same, completely on target and great. Drummer isn't as good as the original. Keyboardist is fine. Guitarist? He's not in the right industry. It's really a shame. It's not just that the guitar is unbelievably out of tune, so are his vocals, and in another live version in a smaller venue that is a decided improvement on this performance, his vocals are _still_ horribly out of tune. Still is a wonderful song though.

The guitarist plays everything correctly except the main riff, he plays it a half step off, what's his deal? Even his sung harmonies are a half step off
