"Russia tried to help Donald Trump win the 2016 election - and Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his government to do so.
That’s according to an official statement from the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee released on Wednesday. The committee conducted months of interviews with current and former intelligence officials to verify if American spies correctly assessed last year that Russia favored Trump and tried to sway the 2016 presidential election. It turns out the Senate panel agrees with the US intelligence community.
“Our staff concluded that the [intelligence community’s] conclusions were accurate and on point,” Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, said in a joint statement with the panel’s chair, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC). “The Russian effort was extensive, sophisticated, and ordered by President Putin himself for the purpose of helping Donald Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton.””*

By basic logic, the biggest threats to our electoral systems are actors INSIDE the country. So if you're really concerned, START with money in politics. Russia isn't helping is invade 8 countries. Russia isn't pushing you privatize social security, healthcare, infrastructure and other similar measures. Russia isn't re-regulating Wall Street to serve the interests of our oligarchs or theirs. Russia isn't denying climate change as vociferously as the GOP. Russia isn't ensuring we have gun anarchy in the U.S. There are real, serious problems, and Russia isn't even in the top 50 things to worry about, excluding foreign policy. And even when we look at our foreign policy, we are being aggressive. We are in Syria illegally. Russia, by contrast, is there at Assad's request. We are being aggressive towards Iran and the DPRK. ALL these serious issues we're mucking up, and they wanna discuss these trivial issues that simply don't matter to anybody.

There's an unorthodox solution to this *shitshow* we've found ourselves in: teaching Astronomy in Middle school and High school. Astronomy is something of a "gateway" science. It teaches people how to think scientifically. It gives them a perspective that's much greater than their little corner of Earth. It instills a desire to learn more, even about other sciences. You can even apply mathematics in a way that makes it desirable to learn and not just numbers.

John Doe those two things don't really contradict each other. And Russian interference was widescale, your comment about memes is a gross simplification. Only recently we found out the most followed BLM account online was actually fake and set up by Russians to put out extreme anti-white racism and calls for violence to stir racial animosity in America and slander BLM's name. The Dems and Clinton supported BLM so it was a politically effective attack against them. Dnc emails were stolen and leaked. They had some skeletons in their closet, mainly campaign finance related but so does the rnc and they had nothing leaked. We now know Russia inflitrated voter rolls, but have no evidence yet that says they altered votes. America still elected Trump themselves, and Clinton still should've won anyway if she had been a decent candidate, but to ignore all of Russia's actions as insignificant or unimportant is absurd, nor is it a case of just memes.

If it was the most followed BLM account than apparantly a lot of people in the US already agreed with the positions they were pushing. Or do you actually believe it was the Facebook page that changed their views on white people? Yes they supported BLM, especially when Bill Clinton was on stage defending the crime bill and Hillary's ''super predator'' comment during the election. There is still no evidence that the DNC was hacked by Russia, the DNC refused to give their server to the FBI for investigation. There is as much evidence that the info was leaked by an insider as evidence that it was hacked by an outsider. I'm not denying that Russia would try to influence the elections, i'm denying that it had a substantial impact. If you have twice as much money than an orangutan and still lose than it's just narcissism to blame others for your loss.

That's because cockroaches don't go where the lights are bright, but where they are dim. So as TYT continues to 'dim the lights', brain-drain happens. Progressives find a new source of information, and trolls find a new home.
