Overinflated truck prices, you wouldn't catch me dead in a 750k mile truck no matter the year, or brand. Not unless it had an overhaul and warranty to back it up. If you're going to pay that much for a used truck, especially in this market, at least get a classic body that retains its value regardless of the miles it has on the odometer.

True , “if your wheels aren’t turning you aren’t earning” unless you have your own shop with unlimited supply of spare parts and labor buying any truck with 750k + miles would be a dead end money pit with zero light at the end of the tunnel

This is with inflation prices you should do a comparison before inflation.... in 2020 a volvo with 500k miles was only going for 50k dollars and a t680 with 500k miles was going for 52k and a freightliner Cascadia with 500k miles was at around 35k to 40k and I have bill of sale to proof that those were the prices back then

Do people really fall for these high mileage high prices relatively new models? I mean 2019 with 750k+ on the odometer means the truck was team driven and never stopped for more than fueling.

750k over 4 years comes out to about 3k miles a week, which seems pretty doable for a single driver, based on what I've seen of some of his other number breakdowns.

I would like to see a video of if it worth to give a truck the best maintenance. If it worth to keep a truck up to date and beyond. I'd to see if there any data that you could get more money at the time of selling your truck with proven above normal service maintenance, mechanics and aesthetics wise

Yea I would also! I bought a ‘15 579 with a known bad engine really cheap two years ago. Installed a low low mileage ISX from a wreck and have replaced many other worn out parts that plague a 700k+ mile truck like the blend door$$$, shackle bushings, 5th wheel, s-cams, seals and more! The cost to maintain my ‘15 over the NEXT two years is going to be way less than any of these ‘19s here!

My Baba is rebuilding a 2007 Volvo VNL as we speak this is amazing father and son moment and I am documenting the whole journey and I look forward to showing you this truck when it is finished. My wife she just got the AZ and I want her to get some good experience maybe for one year I will bring her by your company one day. Do you hire new drivers?

When considering which of those three, I strongly consider the mechanical issues reviews for those trucks. Volvo does not fare well. I personally have a long history with Freightliner. KW, is not fully forthright with the issues they have; so it’s really tough to determine. I love the design and the bells and whistles of KW, but they are heavier and have wider turn radius than Freightliner‘s. Next, I consider fuel consumption. Thanks to your videos, I have a pretty good eye on that situation!

Volvo is the Better truck but you need your own software and your own mechanic because only Volvo dealership really are the go to ! A truck is a truck a mechanic is a mechanic No No No Not hardly You get what you pay for simply put Shakers are money makers can’t go wrong and you can get a shade tree mechanic throwing parts at it for little or nothing Today society it’s set up for the turn and burn and all the trucks are beautiful today and they all have the same motors transmissions and rear ends with the same sensors on a frame only real picture is the cabs but question is when you fold what you walk away with Y’all better be listening to this young man his videos are telling you Dummies the truth Truth hurts don’t it 😢😂 Stop living above your means then and stop watching KZfaq 😂😢 Great video and good content 💖💖💖💖 You applying to much pressure they not ready to understand resale they still trying to get a cdl

Im looking into entering the trucking-industry (i know, i know; Nows a bad time to enter the industry. But tbh, its my best alternative). Not sure if im going to go O/O or as a company-driver right out of cdl-/trucking-school. If i go O/O, i will most likely go for "cheaper" (i.e. higher-mileage) truck with a 1million-mile warranty. But im debating between a Freightliner, a Kenworth t680 or w900, or a Mack. In all likelihood, i'll start out as a driver for a smaller-/midsize-company to get 1-3years semi-driving experience. But if/when i go O/O, anybody have any suggestions for trucks (both make/model as well as specs [looking to drive primarily the mountainous-west-coast {including Rockies and SierraNevada}])? Thanks much!!!

I'd suggest being a company driver for a couple years first it will be far less stressful for you as you learn and get familiar with the industry. Everyone's tolerance for stress is different though so maybe jumping right in as an O/O will be fine for you. Right now with fuel as expensive as it is making truck payments on an expensive truck would be very difficult. Try to find a company that will let you take a percent of the gross revenue also instead of being paid by the mile unless the mileage pay is really good with a fuel surcharge also

The auto KW are garbage. Compare a 13spd resale to any auto, the 13 will retain tremendously compared to the auto’s. Fleet owners are stupid IMO. Will have no problem buying an auto 12spd but god forbid a 13.. a 13 w/3.08 governed to 68mph makes 8 high useless and 8-low has the .86 on eaton compared to the dt-12’s .78 which gets better fuel mileage. The only company ive seen do this is Fastenal. Hats off to them. The cascadia had 8.9mpg on the dash. And thats a heavy hauling truck. With tandem 6x4.
