Many thanks to you for keeping me in touch with the EMS field I love and miss.

When my daughters were 7 and 10 yrs old we went to the snow to sled..all of a sudden we couldn't find my 7 yr old anywhere..we ran around calling her and asking people if they'd seen a small blonde with ponytails wearing bright pink but nobody had..I was crying hysterically running all over the snow park..there were a lot of people there skiing and sledding and some were helping look for her..apparently she fell through a cravasse (with 8 inches of water she was standing in) and a man heard her yelling for help..he laid on his stomach and lowered his jacket down to her telling her to grab it and put one foot in the pocket and hang on tightly and he'd pull her out by one sleeve, and she did..just as he was pulling her out we came across the rescue..she was soaking wet and freezing..after hugging and thanking that kind stranger we took her to the car and turned on the heater..out of the 4 of us she was the only one that brought a change of clothes..lol..she was beet red and as she warmed up and thawed out a bit, pain set in and she was crying..off to the hospital we went.,she stayed over night mainly for observation but she was very hypothermic..I was thankful that cravasse wasn't more than 12 feet deep, that would've been a different story and outcome..thank God for helping souls!..

This is so scary and anyone that’s claustrophobic you would definitely panic not a situation to be in poor man he is brave to survive that long.

Ur hitting that ice with that hammer can chip, Crack, and eventually split a more massive piece of ice that can kill them all, rare but possible

I wonder what accent it was when they spoke? Whatever the case, I'm just glad it all worked out OK in the end
