Yea, I had 2-3 dogs (I'm not sure if one was abused). But we had a neglected dog, and now we have an abused dog. The neglected one is now in the clouds, but she lived life at her fullest We have the other one right now, and still trusts people

Yes, many dogs come out of a bad situation and begin to trust people before long, so I can't even imagine how much she endured. I'm glad her foster family was so patient with her, because she deserves to feel safe and loved.

Mabel has obviously been to hell & back. Whoever did this to her should be put in prison for a long time. That severe of a case of trauma means someone tortured her. I've dealt with two large breeds that I adopted, who were like this. One was blinded , optical nerves severed from her brain, due to head trauma. Hips ruined by only God knows what ( not organic) ..after 18 months - 2 years she finally was at home and living fear free, unless she'd hear an angry man on TV, or a neighbor yelling at his kids. PTSD. She lived a good loved more than you can imagine by not only me, but my late Husband, and our Grandkids, and kids. The Grandkids were invaluable in her healing. They actually tossed a quarter to see who got to sleep with that dog each night they were here. She lived 10 more years, and had a good life.

With Sweetheart, it took a LOT of me just sitting or lying on the floor, letting her choose to come to me. I wanted to show her that humans were okay. I couldn’t adopt her, but I was allowed to work with her. When a family saw me working with Sweetheart (ie: me sitting on the floor, trying to coax her to drink some water), the daughter wanted to meet Sweetheart. Because of the work I’d done, that darling dog was willing to at least meet the girl. And yes, that family did adopt Sweetheart. Even got a hesitant little tailwag!

From an animal control employee thank you. He 100% saved that cat. Unfortunately most shelters would have to put down an animal if it attack’s constantly. We give animals some leeway of course because it’s a new place, they are scared, etc. But if there isn’t improvement soon we have no choice for everyone’s safety. I’m so glad that cat got a better life. Edit: saw your second comment..hell yeah!

@@Wesjag03Yeah, its really sad to know but its also understandable why. Especially when its hard to find people who will take them in and take the time to help them. When my fiance was looking for a cat, they showed him quite a few but realised they passed one. They told him she was too aggressive and she was to be put down the next day. He asked if he could see her even though they kept trying to oppose. Finally at his own risk they let him see her and when they met, she jumped into his arms from the cat cage, and started purring. So he took her home 💜

That's sad but good for you guys. I pride myself in how I raise my cats. I've never been bitten or scratched out of anger by any of my cats. I learned pretty much everything I know about cats from Jackson Galaxy's old television show from like 12 years ago.

Every state should Have an animal abuse hotline! or possibly every town. Something has to be done. Maybe volunteers could take turns manning the hotline! Since we all carry our phones around, I don’t think it would be hard to find volunteers!❤
