Now, before you lose your minds here; this is how you can pass either a double deviation or a single deviation if your normal method of passing is too difficult, ie: you don't have a proper connection to suck in on a grillon or a cowstail, or if there is some other reason you can't just easily remove and re-install the deviation safely above all your gear. There is always the option of essentially rope transferring past the deviation...
That said, in reality, if the single deviation is hindering your ability to rescue, and you can safely just remove it without putting you or the casualty at risk, often that would be the best method to get to the ground in the most efficient way! Use your heads and stay safe out there!
