they are not normally social. Males always live alone while females will sometimes hang with other females. One nice thing about them is they only empty their bowels and bladder about once a week, on the ground, never in the trees. maybe the fact it is disabled has made it realize on some level, it needs the people to feed him.

Hopefully you also find something in yourself to make you happy😊. I never used to watch these kind of videos but when my brother died I did. It definitely helps a little. Videos like this took my mind off of what happened.

@@MetaMortis21 Sorry about your brother. I lost both parents in space of two years but have always been prone to depressive feelings and thoughts anyway. Life seems pointless and trivial and meaningless a lot of the time. I should just ditch my life and go work with animals but you know the saying 'No matter where you go, there you are'. You cant run from problems you take them with you

@@paulinegallagher7821 This is really true Pauline. My brother had a high paying corporate job that he was miserable in. He quit, sold everything , bought a van and got two dogs and went off to work at some animal rescue place. Well, guess what, he was still miserable, couldn't get along with anyone over time and kept taking off for new places. I have not seen him in 20 years. I hope he has done some inner work to be happy.

It sounds like he did all that because he thought thats what you do if youre depressed and unhappy with your job and your life. In other words, he did it for the wrong reasons, because you cant run away from yourself. People who make a real commitment to animal welfare do it because they love animals and want to make it their life, not because they are unhappy people. Sorry you both lost touch

So cute, this is probably the oddest couple that I've seen on here so far. I've never seen a sloth move so fast and show so much emotion when he's playing with his dog friend. I'm going to watch this when I'm having a bad day.

Sloths aren't as slow as people think they are. In the trees an adult can move about 15 feet a minute.

Except they have to be kept away from 🐰s. Buns' bodies are so delicate that even if a dog is friendly, they can accidentally hurt them. I ❤ dog a but since I got my 🐰, I will not have a dog. 3:13

@@IMeMineWho I think that's bullshit. We had a dog and a bunny no problemo. Rats and dogs can co-exist easily as well. Dogs are smart. They can be gentle with kids or other animals etc. I would actually argue that you can trust a well trained dog better with a small pet like a bunny than if you were to leave it with a toddler or something. Some kids can be gentle with animals etc. but some can't, just like with Dogs.

@@lawrencefrost9063 Perhaps Lawrence, and I agree with you regarding children..however it depends on both how skittish the bunny is AND the size of the dog. If you actually had a minilop, then you know how delicate the bones and insides of a bunny is and your experience may or may not be typical BUT I have a friend with a cat and she said her cat brought home unfortunate bunnies often. I also believe it depends on if they were together since they were young and how much supervision they have. As buns ARE prey animals, I will not take that chance.

I rescued a sloth from the streets once and she had the cutest happy go lucky smile even though she was definitely pissed at me and grunting. So freaking adorable.

People who take the time out of their day and commit to as much time as it needs to take as much resources as it needs to take to care for the well being of a hurt animal is just a phenomenal person. They dont have the movement speed or muscle power to do any damage oddly enough. The claws look scary but they were made for grip as oppose to defense.

It usually seems like these “relationships” between different species are kind of just imagined by the humans around the animals but these 2 genuinely seem to enjoy each other’s company. Very cute.

@@wioi a lot of people tend to humanize animals because they don't read their body language correctly. For example when an animal licks or "hugs" another pet it can be a sign of dominance rather than friendship. But not in this case I'm certain.

The dog trying to eat plants might show they were trying to imitate and be closer to it as to be socially accepted, so naturally seeing how slow and calm the sloth is, perhaps the dog tried to imitate that too. Domesticated dogs are very very good at being social and learning how to befriend people/other species.

One of the most extraordinary cross species friendships I have ever seen. Simply heart warming and shows how much we humans still have to learn about acceptance and tolerance. Great credit goes to Haydee and Juan Carlos for their magnificent care for these lovely creatures.

@@dannymorrow6024 Yeah, I don't get why people always say this. Humans are also animals that make plenty of cross-species friendships with other animals all the time. Mammals in general are pretty capable of emotionally understanding one another. It's cute af, but no different than a human and a cat loving each other, for example.

Chuwie actually has a smile! That’s incredible! Sloths are … odd looking, almost not real. But that smile is most definitely from a live happy animal. Awesome story.

Amazing to see Chewie the Sloth and Beagle friend interact. In watching Chewie wanted a cuddle and was smiling. An unusual relationship, who'd of thought it? Lovely to see them both bonding ❤️

Sloths are my FAVORITE animal in the whole world! I absolutely love their smiley faces, their slow & calm demeanor, the way they show affection to others, even people, and THE best is the sounds baby sloths make, it just warms my heart. They're so cute! 😊 One of the biggest dreams I have is to see & hold one in person. I just want to feel the love I see in them in videos. The friendship with Seven is absolutely adorable & amazing!!❤❤

Dogs really are some of the most accepting and compassionate beings on the planet. Chewie was all in pain and probably traumatized and seven welcomed him in and they became best friends it's so sweet. He's really got his spirit back 😊

You know how when you're around people with too much energy you get anxious or irritable? Hanging out with a sloth would be the most relaxing experience, to be slow and in no rush. No goal, just hanging out.

One of the creatures that impressed me seven ways to Sunday was Koko the gorilla. She was wiser and more compassionate than most humans I know. She even had a sense of humor! If you've never seen the clip of she and the comedian Robin Williams visiting like two old chums, drop whatever you're doing and watch. Even your heart wil LOL! 😝

that is the liveliest and happiest sloth i’ve ever seen. he loves being with the dog (even hugging him) and loves to he petted - amazing. so glad to see him happy and Seven is an incredible dog. imagine identifying so much that he ate leaves with Chuwie. just beautiful. mucho gracias :) 🦥🐕🌷🌱
