Here is something different! Instead of showing you a brand new seal rescue video, we have made a reaction video instead! Our rescuers Tony and Naude watch some of our old rescues and explain why the team used specific tactics and strategies in each case. They also answer some of our most frequently asked questions. Please let us know in the comments if you would like to see more reaction videos in the future?

I watch this channel's videos every day from Tokyo, Japan, and donate to your paypal account every month. Having lived in Germany for a long time, I understand the importance of nature conservation. What you are doing is truly valuable and important. Please remember that people around the world support you. I hope that the pain and needless deaths of as many sea animals as possible will be alleviated.

Greetings to Tokyo from Germany. I have been watching these videos for more than a year and only 3 days ago I sent a donation via PayPal for the first time. Unfortunately, I can't do this every month as I'm a pensioner and don't have such a large pension. But I will do it from time to time. The guys do a great job.

This is the kind of reaction video I like - informative analysis, and of your own work. You may not be "solving" the crisis of plastic trash in the ocean, but you are educating people about the issue and bringing awareness to more people that there is a crisis that needs to be solved.

I absolutely loved the detail explanation of what you do and how you do it. I think one of the most dangerous parts is running into the crowd of seals which we don’t really see. I don’t think they just part ways and let you in without a fight. This is the most dangerous to me. But you guys and gals are so dedicated to saving their lives, you keep on running into the crowd. I just get the impression that you guys go through every recue afterwards to see what you can improve. I just hope that it doesnt go overboard with it. I mean when you go for the pup, bull or cow in the heat of the moment you simply have to go with it whatever happens. So yes make some analysis but most importantly stay open to what ever the individual rescue will mean.

No. The seal would have to be sedated, which would require a vet. Sedation on a seal is difficult at best, death at its worst. OCN has been doing this for a long time, has consulted vets about this. The seals heal well just going back into the water.

A quick question, when we put a cut into salt water it stings like crazy, would it be the same for the seals, I'm hoping not as that cut would of hurt enough on it's own without our reaction to salt water on top. I really enjoyed this and would love to see more - as the team doing the work, it is your insight that matters. Please don't misunderstand when I say that I also love your rescue videos. The tragic state of our oceans and the suffering of its inhabitants does not escape me, but it's the thought that the lucky ones who make it back to the beach or the docks are almost certain to get help when you spot them (very few escape you for long), and then can hopefully heal and live their lives. So heartwarming to see them waddling off to join their mates or have a swim. I have also seen a couple of your Q&A sessions and always enjoy knowing more about the team and your thoughts. Thank you.❤

I have seen commenters ask if what you are doing is real….😒 how would you fake this? Tie them up then rescue? Puuh-lease. You are the men who set the standard for all other rescues. I have to shout at my computer when I see others doing it wrong. Respect and love to you!

God bless all of you rescue workers. There are no words good enough to say how wonderful you men are. You truly are angels of the ocean.

Yes I would like to see more seal rescues. Each and every video is good to see the rescuing of the seals. Tony and Naude explaining what is going on with the rescue is great. I like to know what goes on to rescue the seals and other pinnipeds. Keep up the good work OCN team.
