Hail the God of detailing - Yes your a slave to your own success - However Jim - Think of it like this, you treat your self knowing what you do is second to none. There is even a gift to this, the work you do here on youtube pleases so many amateurs (such as me) Thank you for sharing - You are a living working inspiration for the rest of us.

With so much focus on the nuances of machine polishing these days, it is nice to see this comprehensive coverage of what's REALLY involved in making a car look nice. When I saw those exhaust boxes, I thought, "Man, that's going to be painful." But, you forged on. Thanks - this is real detailing.

Your attention to detail is admirable, and utterly addictive. I don't know what the full WD treatment costs on average (£3.5-4.5k?) but on many of the cars I've seen you do with a value of £60k or more, it'll add more than that to the value of the car. Thanks for the entertaining videos.

Beautiful video as always. You deserve your success. The growing demand for your services with the static amount of time in a year simply makes what you deliver more valuable. I hope you recognize that rise in value and are compensating yourself by at least a little in your pricing. You’re second to none and alongside very few. Keep hammering along!

I have been watching your channel now for just over 6 months, and i have to say that you have to be one of the best car detailers not in the UK, but possibly in the world. Your work is just astonishing. And people send you cars from other countries, just to have them detailed by yourself. That speaks volumes about your quality and reputation. I have been trying to learn from you so that in the summer i can 2 stage polish my car and then ceramic coat it. My only issue is i do not have a garage, just a private drive. So keeping the car clean during the process is a bit of a concern. Also being on my own it will take time, so thinking of taking a few days off so i can do it over a 4 day weekend sort of thing. So i dont end up rushing it. Car is a 2016 Mercedes A45, in Jupiter Red. Its a solid colour, but even after 1.5yrs the paint is heavily damaged. The merc paint seems to be soft, so scratched easily.

Hi Jim, as always an awesome vlog again... one small tip for cleaning the windows! i've saw you doing this a few times, for cleaning the inside of the window, you sit in the car with the door closed, so the window go's in the top position... if you open the door, and use a screwdriver, you can close the lock, and the window would go in the top position also... maybe you could give it a try ;) keep up with the good work. ciaoo

hey if I may Jim, I have a trick to remove the wheel weight glue. I use a pinstripe removing tool. It's like a rubber attachment to a simple die grinder. Makes a lot of dust and debris when you're using it but it makes quick work of that glue and doesnt scratch the surface if its clean! cheers

I know I’m 3 years late to this vlog, but wanted to offer a thought if your approach to exhaust boxes/mufflers hasn’t changed: If you can get the owner’s consent, removing the bumpers/under panels/exhaust will open up a world of comfort for you. Here’s why: Keep your older foam pads. Preferably heavy or medium-cutting ones. Take the mufflers outside or to a dedicated/isolated area (because metal dust). Machine polish them using a cutting compound at a relatively slow speed. Throw those pads away after, as they are now definitely unusable. You will not believe the shine, uniformity and reduced energy expended. Throw a high-temp sealant on them (like FK1000P), and that’s it. By-hand has its benefits, but it gave me spine chills seeing the effort that took. Been there and done that… And if the owner asks for a mirror-like shine (and is willing to pay you for another hour), get a set of 800-grit dry sanding disks, and repeat the aforementioned after, but also graduate up from compound to polish as you would on a panel. Lot of work, but 1/10th the physical energy you put into this Ferrari. And the outcome is bananas. Sandro from CCAD does a short video on this process, and the results speak for themselves. Great work as always. I hope you can do a long video walking through the design of your shop. It’s so well thought-out.
