Rescuing & Relocating Three Manatees, Including Mom and Calf Pair

Clearwater Marine Aquarium assisted Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in the rescue and relocation of three manatees. The manatees stranded in the retention area of an estuary system in Clam Bayou near Gulfport in Pinellas County, Florida after a high water storm surge. There was also concern for the very young calf. All three manatees were then relocated to Maximo Park in good body condition.
