Today we are in Elmcreek and we had a massive snowstorm come through. There were 20 inches of snow that covered everything. We jumped into Gator and headed to inspect the buildings around the farm. Luckily there wasn't any big damage on the farm so we parked the Gator. Then our first job was to remove the snow from the yard so we jumped into a Ford pickup and headed to the local BGA. When we arrived we talked with the manager and they let us borrow a John Deere 524k wheel loader with a Laure D60 snow blower. We jumped into the wheel loader and headed back to the farm and we unfolded the snow blower and started blowing the snow out of the yard. It took us some time to remove the all snow and after that was done we refueled the wheel loader at the gas station and we headed back to the BGA. We returned the wheel loader and then we jumped into the Ford pickup and headed back to the farm. The next job was to put the lettuce pallets into the storage so they are safe if another snow storm comes through. For that job, we used John Deere 6120M with a front loader and pallet forks, and a pallet jack. After everything was ready we moved ten lettuce pallets into the storage and then parked the pallet jack and tractor. The last job for today was to sell the wheat. We decided for that job to borrow the truck and grain trailer from the local company so we jumped into Ford and headed there. When we arrived we talked with the owner and he let us use his Peterbilt 352 with Wilson Pacesetter Trailer. We jumped into the truck and headed back to the farm to load wheat and sell it to Farmers Market. Halfway through the drive, we hit the black ice and we started losing control of the truck and trailer. We managed to dodge the oncoming car and we ended up in the creek, lucky none was hurt. After inspecting the situation we decided to get the Kenworth KW900 heavy wrecker to try to get the truck and trailer out. We jumped into the Ford and headed to the local company where we got the wrecker. We drove the wrecker to the accident and we started setting everything up. We hooked the winch line around the rear axle of the trailer and we started pulling. We were sliding a little bit but we managed to get the truck and trailer out. Then we attached the truck and trailer to the wrecker and towed it out to the livestock dealer so it's out of the way. After we got there we detached the trailer from the truck and towed the truck back to the transport company. When that was done we jumped into Peterbilt 389 and headed to pick up the trailer. We arrived at the livestock dealer and attached the trailer to the truck and we finished the job. We sold the wheat to the Farmers Market and we made around 50.000 dollars. After that was done we returned back to the transport company and parked the truck and trailer and then we talked with the owner. Then we jumped into the Ford and returned back to the farm and went inside the house to take a break.
