How do consoles even get that filthy in the first place, it looks like it was fished out of a dustbin, I'm so glad you were able to repair this, i wish people would take care of these consoles, especially nowadays since it seems like it's becoming more difficult to get replacement parts for them.

pra eles, um componente chamado peroxido de hidrogenio, pra nós agua oxigenada... recomendo n40 e luz UV, mas muitos usam sol (ja usei no sol e deu ruim) o que ele faz é quimica com bacterias e sujeira misturada sairem com o calor, dai fica só a cor original... depois procure mais sobre "tirar amarelados de eletrodomestico" bonus: sapolio antes de fazer pra tirar o grosso, ajuda demais em nao gastar muito com agua oxigenada apesar de barato

Japan is not a fair comparison. It's the videogames mecha with Sony and Nintendo selling big to their home market. Also the japanese are among the best people to keep their stuff together and neat, preserving the history and increasing the availability of several products in their original boxes.

@@vinicius401 I was just confused about this as I see white PS2 slim models a lot. I'm not actively trying to compare, it just seems strange to find out they are apparently rare in other places. Also I'm not sure about the myth of the Japanese being clean freaks with their stuff. Generally they keep stuff well, but the systems I see in second hand stores are frequently on par with the one in this video. I see at least one brown and grotty Dreamcast every 2 weeks.

The white PS2 Slim is rare!? Or is it because of the mod chip? Because I have that one, and for some reason, when I got it years ago when it came out, right out of the box, brand new, it refused to play most PS2 games. Can any console experts tell me if this was a common problem with that model? because I still have a box of PS2 games that I still never played because it refused to read the discs.

That wasn't even a restoration 😢 You didn't take the fan apart to make sure it was all clean inside and you didn't show cleaning any of the disc tray parts, only the laser... I was very disappointed. I do console restorations all the time and I always enjoy your videos, but you're slacking
