A slim just like this one was the first PS2 I had. Bought MK Deception, Bloodrayne 2, and MGS 2 and played the hell out of them. It only lasted me a couple of years before it stopped being able to read discs. Shame there weren’t videos like this around then; I almost feel like I might’ve been able to figure out what was wrong with it. Anyway, thanks for bringing back great memories of my early ‘30s. 😂

I’ve still got my PlayStation 2 original console I bought in 2002 and it still looks like new, and I clean the inside every 4 months or so, nothing like you’re doing here, your work is on another level to mine lol! Was that compressed air and something else that you sprayed on the circuit board? Great job!

Good job Man. This Is the last model of PS2 slim with internal Power supply. I Remember the loudy fan and how quiet became After clean It with a Paint brush. Still a great compact console with tons of jrpg 😉

It’s too bad you can only do so much with a matte, “rough” surface. You can tell it starts to take on some glossiness after resurfacing. But hey, it is what it is. Beautiful restoration.

Excellent work, it relaxes me and gives me satisfaction to see how you do these restorations. I would like to buy a polisher like yours for my restorations. I'm planning to do the same with a silver ps2 slim 90010. It is also scratched like the one in the video, with the difference that the silver models have another finish, it is a smooth plastic. you should try soda blasting for matt plastic surfaces... slightly rusty metal parts that you have grind were zinc plated, you grind off all the protection, and now they are much more prone to rust again... you should protect them with something.. and try not to leave any polishing compound in the grooves :) Kudos for your effort!!

I don't know why playstation insists on making consoles with that kind of smooth plastic, we must admit that it looks pretty at first but will be scratched with anything. very good restoration, what you used for the scratches is polished right?

I'm most interested between 12:09-13:39 in this video as I would like to know exactly what compound/polish you used to "paint" on the PS2 cover, what machine polish you used with the big disc, and the small drill-looking machine to polish the edges/sides, plus what grit sandpaper did you use?

Кулер этот легко разбирается и чистится.Бумажная наклейка снимается,там отверстие для силиконовой смазки.А напаянные провода мелкие я бы убрал.Там 1-2 дорожки только пропаять.

Мелкие провода это впаян чип, чтоб приставка брала пиратку.
