Same issue, 2017 GTI Sport. Lights were working fine, but had an error code for months. For the first time I tried this method without replacing the bulb, rather just clean it. After the clean, a bulb didn't work at all. Guess that was the issue, a weak bulb 🤷🏻‍♂️? In any case, bought a 7$ Sylvania, not LED (too bright) and it worked. Hopefully it does the same for the next and thank you for the tip!

Changed the light bulbs, both working and the warning is still on.

Changed to LED. Error started. Changed back. Error still there. Video does not help me.

Switched the bulbs in my MK7 Golf S and the warning is still on 😭

Use an OBD scanner and delete the code.once you change the bulb

Changed my bulbs but the issue persists

Sorry that changing the bulbs didn’t get rid of the light bulb warning. On my GTI the new bulbs fixed it. I’ve heard some owners recoded the onboard computer to accept LED bulbs so it won’t cause the error. If you have a used VW then it hard to know if the previous owner made modifications. But that’s just a guess. If it was me then I’d try some LED license bulbs to rule that out. Sorry I’m not more help on this!

Probably moisture issues. Might consider checking if humidity traces can be seen. I will start with bulbs and move on to checking for moisture. Best of luck.

Maybe coding. Are they led or incandescent. Have to tell the car which.
