Oh my god. I have a 2015 Accord and the battery died Saturday afternoon. I replaced it and yep, all the warning lights were on like a Christmas tree. All the other videos out here are people with more serious and expensive problems (according to their dealership) and the owner's manual was no help. I was in a panic about the potential cost Thank you so much for putting this simple but extremely helpful piece of information out for others to find. I drove a quarter mile and "bink" they all reset. You da man!

Thank you for posting this. I replaced the battery in my 2014 Honda Civic Si and the dash was lit up as well. Traction control, ABS, power steering, brake, etc. The i-MID screen was cycling through all the errors as well. Drove my car up my block and before I made it even a tenth of a mile, all the lights reset. Thanks again for posting this.

It worked! All the warning lights in the dashboard lit up after a battery change on my 2016 Honda HRV. I ran the car around the village for about 1.5 km then all the warning lights were gone. Thank you sharing this Javier. A lot of Honda owners will benefit from this.

Same issue, 2011 Accord LX. Batt died. Got a replacement. Installed and all dash lights were goin crazy. Was gonna reinstall battery and was texting my bro to use his odb scanner. Quick search, found this vid. Drove the car not even .2 miles and dash reset and back to normal! Thanks poster you saved me allot of time and stress!

Thank you for the video. I replaced the battery in my 2015 Accord EXL and all trouble lights came on. I panicked on the cost to take to the dealership. Read the manual - no use. All other videos on this issues pointed to different problems. Thanks for posting this. I drove less than a block and all lights went away- still drove 1/4 mile . I turned off the ignition and restarted the car to make sure no lights were coming on. Thank God nothing came on . Wish Honda had put this in their owners manual- "how to reset after changing battery."

OMG. 2014 Civic EXL owner here. Replaced the battery, and I'd like to add this isn't the first time we've replaced the battery, tonight. Turned the car on and all this stuff starts happening. I was like "ohhh no!! I'm gonna end up at the dealer wasting time and money." So yea thanks for your video. It worked. My husband did the little drive, he said there were some prompts he had to follow on the screen, but it's all normal now. Thank god. Thanks for your video!! Seems like this doesn't happen every time. My husband replaced the battery with roadside assistance once and he said this didn't happen. Who knows. Would be nice if Honda would put something in the manual about it.

I've had this happen with a 2012 Acura TSX, and it required several trips for the assorted computers to be happy again. The speedometer, tachometer, and temperature gauges would cycle between working and not working. Every conceivable error light and message is displayed off and on. It's hard to believe this is how it's supposed to be.

Does anyone know. When replacing battery, do the trip meters get erased or are they stored in hard memory keeping them alive when battery is replaced??
