I had Achilles surgery on 4/25. I haven't listed a single item since then, so like.4 weeks. Thankfully, I still have sold like 89 items on eBay in that period. A few sales on Posh and Mercari.

Wow! Congratulations, that is great for you. 109 items to ship, we would love 50% of that for the whole week. Hope you have enough labels and poly mailers. :>) But our items cannot go for $2.00 as our COGs at minimum is $30.00. That was a nice find for the Kilt.

I'm trying a variation of this strategy. I need the space so the oldest 100 are all on auction and will end next week at $1.99 starts. There's some GOOD items in there too, so I hope I get noticed by some resellers who buy a few things each. The rest will go back to the thrift, flea market, or to my other in person buddies. My sales have been fine without implementing this strategy, but some of these things just have to go either way. I'm very limited on space and take a lot of offers in the first place. Also found a couple items in that space that weren't even listed! No idea how that would have happened, maybe they got bought and cancelled and somehow never relisted.

I'm not sure eBay explained that right??? You used to have to put everything in your cart, then go into your cart, hit request an invoice, and send to seller. Then seller gets the request invoice message on their end to combine everything. Once you hit buy it now, payment is expected. eBay has moved so many things around, it's hard to explain to people how to get it done.

Hey Marcus… I did put about six or eight2 dollar items in my cart after your last video but when I went to check out it said the shipping was 70 some dollars and I backed off… If I would’ve continued with the sale what would’ve happened with that shipping?? I know you like to make your money on it lol but $70 was way too much for what I had in my cart.

Marcus, how long do you let items sit before you start marking them down? and what percentage do you mark those items by?

I start marking them down at 45 days at 20%, and it get more and more drastic as time goes on. You probably should find numbers that work for your desired profit margin. I have a pretty decent size store to help make up the small sales with decent sales

@@yemoochy9553 that’s another thing I think is a problem. I think it may cause confusion on a potential buyers side. They may think they can’t purchase an item when they see it’s in another buyers cart and pass on it.

Yes you pay a store fee and you don’t need one but you get benefits from having one such as marketing and discounts on fees

I talked about it in detail in the last video but I put my oldest inventory, like over 2 years old, on sale for 2 dollars plus shipping and then did a drastic mark down on all ages inventory and also have been listing quality items
