I was never someone who liked kids, never liked babysitting, never felt like I needed to be a mom. I eventually had my son at 39 years old. He’s now almost 2, perfectly healthy, and is the absolute love of my life. Nothing wrong with waiting,and you’ll know when you’re ready. ❤

@@rachelleeathey always say when you meet the right person you change your mind. I never wanted kids either but I met my husband and he was always super sweet with me then I wanted kids with him and now we have 2. Earlier today I had extreme period cramps and was bleeding all over the bathroom because my menstrual cup was full. He came into the bathroom and was Iike “how can I help” without a word he cleaned up the bathroom and my menstrual cup then proceeded to get the kids ready for the day while I waited for my medicine to kick in all while he felt under the weather himself. That being said kids are one of the hardest things we have ever put ourselves through and it’s incredibly frustrating sometimes but it is all worth it when your kid comes to you for comfort and hugs and smiles and you and tells you they love you.

This is true but risks exponentially increase for mother and bubs after 35z getting fertility check is an excellent idea +/- freezing eggs. Keeps those eggs at that age and decreasing those protein all risks. Going to GP first and they can do a blood panel for your hormones and also be able to do a referral for you to see a fertility specialist

Hi! I'm a GP so I recommend you not only look into your AMH but also into your Thyroid, vitamin D and B12. Because you talked about painful and heavy periods you should also look into your progesterone (it could mean you have low progesterone). In order to improve your period syntoms you can ask for an antiinflamatory diet (I recommend you Cambria Joy's channel here on YT) ❤

Hey Rachel, just want to say what a great way for you and your boyfriend to communicate. I loved that he just wanted to let you know that there was a lot going on on his end, and would be a little absent for a few days. But wanted you to know that he did miss you, and that it had nothing to do with you. That’s really amazing and I can imagine very much necessary if your in a long distance relationship. You deserve someone who is respectful to you, and really cares about your feelings. Love, Shanna (from the Netherlands) ps I hope that the lawyers get back to you soon about your visa application.

Hey Rachel Just to say also wave your incense in every corner of your room and afterwards clap in ever corner until your clapping sound moves from a dense sound to a much lighter one as stagnant energies accumulate in corners and if you feel comfortable to do so kind of wave the sage stick around you too, so you get a nice cleanse too from energies and as sensitive people we tend to pick up other people’s energies etc., even from people online. 💚

In terms of fertility advice: my life advice or best tip I can give to anyone above 30 is that freeze your eggs and do at least a couple of rounds! By the time you turn 35 the eggs exponentially diminish both in quantity and in quality. I did mine after 35 though Also, go to you gynaecologist and ask them to refer you to a fertility doctor and explore the best clinics 👌

There are women who have their kids in their late 30’s and 40’s so I think each female body is different and Rachel needs to go see her gynecologist in order to determine her options as far as having children. My mom was 43 when I was born, the last of 4 daughters so each woman’s body is unique that’s why it’s best to see a doctor about fertility NOT people on social media!
@shannonnero
@shannonnero 8 ай бұрын
@@fionaokeefe1906 Women’s bodies are unique yes, but as an aggregate we all run on the same fertility clock. By the time we are 30, we have lost 90% of our eggs and yes, our remaining eggs will be of a lower quality. Pregnancies in women 35+ are considered advanced maternal age or dear I say geriatric pregnancy. I would give the same advice to women in their late 20s as well - to consider freezing their eggs. Especially if they want to delay starting a family and would like more than one child. Nothing wrong with this kind of advice. Egg freezing requires medical screening anyway. They will not put you on a fertility program if it’s not suitable or unnecessary. I know women as young as 24 who have frozen their eggs as a safety net.

Hello! I wanted to check on how my fertility was before getting married (have a family is everything to me) and I was diagnosed with pcos aged 15. My GP constantly pushed back saying they do not investigate until you have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years. It’s utter BS, eventually I found a new doctor who was sympathetic and sent me to have my blood work checked and have a transvaginal ultrasound. I would suggest going to your Gp and asking for these referrals or tbh just pay for it because forget even the family aspect as a woman you have the right to know what’s going on in your body. Turns out I don’t have PCOS I was misdiagnosed and I’ve been living with this fear that I would struggle to have a family my entire life. Needless to say I got pregnant easily and have a gorgeous 14 month old boy. I high recommend getting check just for your mind and if you are really thinking about having a family ask your boyfriend to get checked that’s just as important.

For fertility check, look into your AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone) level. It's a simple blood test that can give you some idea of where your egg-count could be at. I'm 34 and on the same boat as you are in turns of kids. I'm not sure why this test isn't more well known because it's so easy to do and as women, we do need some kind of reference on our fertility.

For fertility check: look into getting your hormones checked. Especially if you have an autoimmune disease. I would talk to your OB. Having kids after 35 increases risks of certain birth defects (Down syndrome) hypotension, preeclampsia, etc. I would also look into freezing your eggs. The younger you are the better quality eggs you have. This all from personal experience. I underwent fertility treatment to get pregnant with my first. I’m high risk but I knew it wouldn’t be easy so I planned to have my first baby at 30. So that way if I want more kids I have a few years gap between to decide. It’s life changing but well worth it ❤

(sometimes that's a thing). Sausage rolls are the most divine snack on this planet ... did you never eat sausage rolls in Canada? You can get `em here too! I can't tell you not to worry about fertility, but I wouldn't be too concerned. Unless you're actively trying to get pregnant & can't, the Dr won't really refer you. I was like you, in that I didn't really know if I'd have kids & assumed that, because I has PCOS that door had closed for me, but I had 2 beautiful children in my late 30s without any effort. Sometimes you just need to take it a day at a time & go with the flow. 😊

Make an appointment with your GP and they will make recommendations from there. Also speak with your GP if there’s anything other than the pill that can help with your heavy, painful periods because nobody should have to deal with that. Don’t feel pressured by time with your fertility though. Both my children are born after 35 and both are totally happy, healthy, normal children. I didn’t have any weird complications during pregnancy and I also feel like being more mature mentally made the newborn stage easier to cope with than it would have been when I was in my mid-twenties. Love your attitude though - if it happens great, if you don’t have kids you can still have an incredibly happy and fulfilling life. Part of the reason I had kids late is because I was certain I didn’t want any and then something shifted in my mind one day lol

Then depending on results or your thoughts it would be a referral to an ivf clinic if you wanted to freeze your eggs. Good idea to test, I was only 28 when I found I had low AMH for my age (low egg reserves). Not to scare you or anything at all as I don’t think this would be common thing. But no harm in checking 🙂

It’s like my nieces daughter when my sister brings her to visit or even doing FaceTime too, I just don’t like her whining all the time and always getting her way too. Very stressful no doubt. So, i guess it’s great that I was never to have children. Now having a pet for my kid is something I’d do again in a heartbeat but mom says no more animals and I wish I could have another cat. I do love your cat and he is so darn adorable too.😺❤️👏🏻👏🏻🥰. He sure does look like he’s such a love bug for sure.🥰😺. If I may ask, did you have three cats at one point? It’s great that you and your boyfriend are great and I Leo am much better at writing or typing my feelings and thoughts like you cause I don’t say them very well and I too get tongue tied too. So, I’m sure you are truly not alone in that.❤️👍🏻. Your hair is so pretty and I truly love it so much too. Hope you have an awesome and blessed Monday cause I think you are already in your Monday while I’m still at our Sunday night here on the East in the US. I do love your videos cuz I love your honesty and how you show how to organize too and what you use to organize too. So, I shall go for now. Do take care and have a blessed night and keep the faith always and I send you love hugs and God’s blessings always too. Sue M. Florida,USA ❤️😺🙏😘🥰😊👍🏻❌⭕️❌⭕️

I paused the video to say please go to your gynecologist for fertility questions. 🥰

Most people, unless they have a diagnosed condition, don’t have a regular gyno as they are a specialist. First step typically is GP and they refer you onwards. No harm also asking others for their experiences either as a starting point. :)

I live in the USA and almost all females start going to a gynecologist when they start having periods (or at least by age 18). That’s why I suggested going. They have more specialized knowledge of female issues unless you need to see a fertility doctor. I would start with gynecologist. Just my 2cents.

I would go to GP and get a referral to a gynocologist. If they think you have any endocrinological issues, you could also go to an Endocrinologist :)

I disagree. Gp cannot do the same tests as a gynecologist. I had to to do iIVF after a dozen tests. I was lucky and had my baby at 41
