I contacted them regarding this matter and that's what they said : Thank you for contacting CAPCOM USA Customer Support. Please note that Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S can support resolutions as low as 720p by changing the resolution directly in the console settings, and therefore affecting game resolution.

@@owl2077 yeah, that's not how it works. The console isn't a PC. Changing resolution on the console doesn't affect performance

@@DocRobotnik It actually did on the PS4 Pro and in some games on PS3 and 360 but every other console never changes the internal resolution.

I don't think 1800p would solve these kinds of frame rate drops. 1440p for performance and RT mode might do the trick.

Tengo series S, y la neta estos juegos son contados, habrá que esperar un tiempo, y que los juegos que realmente serán nuevos no los capen y vayan a 1080 60fps o a 1440 30fps, prometieron 1440 60fps, de momento ando a la expectativa, si no a vender esta consola y acompletar para el series X o el PS5

@@trancerelax6687 no prometieron eso, se ve que entendiste mal, dijeron hasta 1440p y hasta 60fps que en algun juego puedan darse las 2 si, pero no es lo que prometieron

con 4k si hay una diferencia, y así lo estoy jugando yo, no le veo mucho sentido meterle 120hz a este tipo de juegos, no se disfruta como el spiderman.

I played RE2 with RT off to get a stable frame rate. Is RE3 any better with RT on?

I still think Control and Metro Exodus have the Best RT implementation of all games. They have a lot of RT options beyond RT GI,AA,shadows,reflections.

@@Shadowed007 Metro exodus and CP77 (especially CP77) have the best RT implementation of all games. then comes Control dying light 2 and after that the rest of the gang.

@@sermerlin1 you're right, Metro Developers said that they are going all out RT only for Metro 4. Control 2 is also in development,but without the development for old gen console version, the graphics must be a bigger jump from Control 1.

@@Shadowed007 I don't think control 2 will be full RT but should be good though hopefully they'll spend time optimizing it for consoles as well like 4A did with metro. Though control had the best RT for a while but now it's mid range... the lead took metro and CP... especially CP with full ray tracing featurette in an open world environment which is massive undertaking... and metro enhanced also is semi open so its as well HUGE deal because it is almost completely RT. I can't wait to see the future games and to see slowly rasterized getting phased out in favor of RT/PT.

If you have VRR screen then you should be good because it holds up above 48 almost all the time except cinematics and heavy sequences

The ray tracing implementation is so primitive that it isn't worth the 30% performance loss with RT disabled after this patch.

Las versiones Pro y One X estan bugeadas en ese aspecto viendose horrible el reflejo. Pero el Raytracing mejor muchisimo viendose natural y no recien lustrado 🤣

Es porque PS4 base y One base son las únicas en usar resolución nativas, mientras One X y PS4 Pro usan Checkerboard y dan esa apariencia bugeada

The game still renders 2160p internally no matter if you are using 1080p tv it will no help the frame rate.

The RT isnt huge imo. Playing the games at 4K 120fps is where these titles really shine. Feel like different games entirely

@@Cruxis_Angel I suppose I see your point, although even then it's not an entirely consistent 120fps. We're looking at a more than 4x GPU increase and a 3 to 4x increase in CPU power, surely they should be able to at least lock the 120 frame rate?

I think they are targeting resolutions that are way too high. They should target 1800p or 1440p instead, it would result in better performance and give them the ability to increase some settings.

Well RT is dependent on the screen resolution. Higher resolutions send out more rays meaning a larger performance impact

Eso mismo me preguntaba, porque no entiendo por qué en el modo sin RT la series s tiene el la mima resolución dinámica de 1260p que en el modo rendimiento. Entonces la versión sin rt son gráficos al máximo? Y el modo rendimiento baja el aspecto gráfico?

Parece que solo quita la oclusión ambiental, y un poco de resolución, el re engine es genial.

Yeah, and I hope they don't downgrade the resolution once again, like for RE 3 on the One X back in the days (and yes,it was necessary in this case), just because some people complaining about the RT mode's performance already.
