I never found this song scary, but something about it, when I was in the safe room, didn't exactly bring me a sense of comfort. Just fear of going back out.

That would be the point sir. The entirety of the game is spent struggling with short muntions, little meds, and little understanding of the area. These moments in the safe room are not for comfort. They are times of planning and great anxiety while you realize you just got the keys together to dive deeper into the rabbit hole. Id say if this didn't send a shiver down your spine, youre not playing right lmao

Yes! Either that, the running, or the type writer typing 😃😁❤ but everytime I hear this music, it reminds of Clair Redfield, but her AND Leon used the save rooms... I love them both equally ❤💕

This theme is what a RE safe room is all about. It's not "scary" but it doesn't make you feel any better. You have to go back out eventually and this music is like Leon/Claire stealing themselves for it. "You're safe, for now"

This track hits hardest when you're new to the game and are struggling to manage your herbs, ammo, are getting grabbed by zombies all the time and don't really know where you're going. Its like "You're ok for the moment, but you cant stay here, you gotta go back out into that, sucks to be you" and so the music doesn't really offer comfort, more like dread lol

Got this as wake up alarm! 🚨 👍😸 Resident evil 2 on the original ps1 has by far the best soundtrack followed by a close second resident evil 1 which has really scary one, all the rest are lightyearssssss behind. Well done 90’s capcom ! 😸👏🥇

I love this song because my brain starts making the sound effect of managing your inventory when it plays Yeah I hate the feeling I had going into the safe rooms, but once I was there I was safe and just got to collect my thoughts after crying running down hallways lol

That feeling of going in that room and depending on who is playing Their Certain Anxiety kicks in. For example the thought of being in that room in reality and actually picturing the fact that you still gotta go back out there and finish the game/Reality: Survive and keep moving forward for how ever long.

I remember the sickening feeling of reading the Film B text while this music played. [Pictured in front of the Arukas tailor. Regressed into a zombie within two hours. Subject repeatedly complained about severe agitation of the epidermis in addition to feelings of nausea. This happened up to the moment he lost consciousness.]
