New Method :- Now You Can Unlock The Handcannon By Getting The S Or Higher Rank On Every Stage For Mercenaries DLC Bonus Weapons = Primal Knife, Chicago Sweeper. Deluxe Weapons Not Count As Bonus Weapons.

I’m so glad the Handcannon made an appearance in the 2023 Remake of Resident Evil 4 simply because of how much I just adore this miniaturized artillery cannon in the original 2005 game when you unlock it via Mercenaries Mode by achieving 5 Stars (60,000 PTS) on Every Stage (The Village, the Castle, the Island, and the Water World Island.) with every Character individually (Leon, Ada, HUNK, Krauser, and Wesker). The fact they went the extra mile to make sure it visually looked identical to the original model (just without the fictional laser sighting) is a great touch. The Handcannon (the one from original Resident Evil 4) looked similar to a .500 Smith and Wesson Magnum (The performance center model variant) with a 10.5 inch barrel, in this reimagining they perfectly recreated the real life model it was based on.

That cabin fight on professional was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in gaming that was no joke

To save some people the hassle: Deluxe edition weapons can be used, and you're also free to use the Charms and Golden Attache case if you prefer. Accessories are allowed so you can use the Chicken Hat or the Cat Ears if you managed to unlock them. And Armored Ashley is allowed because it would be a pain in the ass if she wasn't imo. Also, you don't need to worry about your ranking to unlock the Handcannon. I'm going to try to see if I can do it without the cat ears haha. The village fight alone was toxic. Edit: just get S rank on all 3 mercenaries maps if you want an easier time on the Handcannon

So basically the easiest way to get the hand cannon is unlock the infinite rocket launcher and get A rank on professional to unlock the Chicago sweeper (infinite ammo) then use the Chicago sweeper to get s+ rank to unlock car ears(infinite ammo all weapons) and then you can use cat ears to complete professional without bonus weapons on a fresh save. Easiest way I’ve found to do it without being outworldly skilled at the game

I unlocked this recently on professional mode for the X-Box version of Resi 4, 2005. Man, it was a tough challenge! Hope this remake lives up to the hype.

Can’t considered this powerful if it takes multiple shots for certain bosses, not to mention the nerf of 99.99% to 36%. The original hand cannon was powerful only took 1 shot except for the final boss

Bonus weapons you mean unlimited ammo weapons and all the weapons you use in previous games with maximum upgrades or just the infinte ammo guns?

It's only good for close up kills tho. Still a lot better than the infinite rocket launcher cause you can't damage yourself with it haha

Shame it doesn't just let you reload unlimited amount of times. The reload anim is so satisfying and infinite ammo without reload is just lame. What a shame guess I'll just use a trainer then for my full fun mode

What's sad is that I don't need the handcannon. I want the CP. I almost have all the bonus content, and that last 2,500 will finish it off. I was just trying to find out if I needed to have a fast time/good ranking. But if I can take my time and save as much as I want, this shouldn't be too hard. It's professional, I know, but I mean in the sense that I can actually be careful and play smart. Lol

Huh. Starts at 12 and ends at 36 Blow for blow the other magnums are stronger but the other magnums aren't rocking infinite ammo Final rate of 0.65 is rough, however. All in all, fairly balanced

Word of warning, I just completed a new game+ (Normal -> Professional) without using the bonus weapons once. I didn't unlock the achievement, so it's possible that just having the weapon in your stash is enough to void it (bought chicago typewriter in bonus content but never touched it while it was in the stash). Really sucks because I got an A rank and everything.
