The original theme is still iconic to this day and so will be the remake version in a few years.

Honestly when it comes to RE4 in General for me nothing tops Serenity. Both versions of Serenity is SO Good.

I absolutely love how you’re able to hear some of the original in this soundtrack. It’s like the game’s telling you that the soul of OG RE4 is still very much present.

This is like a combination of "Serenity" from the original RE4, Rev 2's result screen, and a hint of 7's save room theme. Three of my top favorite saferoom themes from my top three favorite Resident Evil games in one. Absolutely beautiful.

1:26 they really paid attention to that part... i love the way the bass works in the classic track! and they did a good work keeping the little things that resembles the past of the game.

This song has a perfect combination of peacefulness and dread. Peace because you are safe for the moment, but a sense of dread and despair for whats to come.

I hated this at first, but now that I've finished the game, I get it. It's so dreamy, like a memory of the original Resident Evil 4. Kinda bittersweet.

People need to pay attention that Serenity and the Save Theme are separate. Serenity plays usually in areas where the save writer and merchant are present, whilst the save screen plays whenever you bring the save menu. It seems what they did here is mix them both, you can hear piano notes of the original save theme and a background synth like serenity. This version perfectly fits the remake vibe.

The only thing that kept me going lately was RE4 Remake. Since the announcement trailer all the way to release, all I’ve ever wanted in life was to stay alive long enough to experience my favorite game of all time… in a completely different version. Thank you Capcom for not fucking this.

I liked that they tweaked it just slightly for the remake but still respected the original Serenity. When I heard this, it was like coming home after being away for years.

Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the original. Watching my uncle play this game as a 5 year old child to now being 23 and playing the remake as if I’m experiencing it for the first time again.

Already put 90+ hrs in gotta kinda burnt out so I took a break but it's crazy how this already sounds nostalgic to me

This remake is quickly becoming one of my favorite RE games in the whole series, once we get Separate Ways and Mercenaries with all the characters, this might just take number one spot. I'm a huge fan of OG RE4 and this tops it in almost every way, anyone who denies it seriously needs to take off the nostalgia glasses.

2:26 I don't know what type of music sound effect this is but it sounds amazing. Also the little piano piece at 2:40 reminds me of Resident Evil 2 Remakes police station

Honestly, both are incredibly perfect in their own way. Both do a great job of setting the tone for the game they are in.

As a hard-core OG RE4 player who played it throughout his childhood and beat it over a hundred times in my life... I love this version, too. Matter of fact, I was and am very pleasantly surprised with all the music in the remake. They clearly did not skimp out in the music department and I appreciate Capcom for it. ❤

It seems to be a mix of re2 remake save theme and re4 save theme to me. I think it's fitting because of how this remake seems to be connecting the game much more to re2

I love the original RE4 save theme and was hoping they bring it back for this game but what I got was another masterpiece that fits the tone of the game that is indeed one of the best remakes of all time that stayed true to the original

Serenity is still better. But I will say this is GOOD and it fits the vibe of this version of the game way more. You can also still hear hints of serenity/the original save theme. This version sounds more, mysterious, a bit more sad, a bit more hopeless. You can almost feel how Leon is feeling through this song. Can not WAIT to play it tonight. Already have it downloading.

What I love about some of the music in this game like this, the merchant theme, and results screen is that there is both these drone-y masculine and feminine hints to signify/project Leon and Ashley throughout their epic adventure. It really brings out their charm and bravery. The way I see it Leon gets the guitars/dark undertones while Ashley kind of has the jazz/techno feel with light tones. It kinda feels like you're in some true crime show/setting but with horror. It sounds very governmental if that makes sense?

Loving the calming yet uneasy and unfamiliar feeling this version gives off, especially around the violin parts. Nightmare ain't over yet, but you have a moment to recoup yourself. OG is iconic but this one really cemented itself well for this version as well.

Out of the 21 hours it took me to complete my first playthrough of Resident Evil 4 probably 1 hour consisted just of me chilling in the safe room and listening to the music to calm down.

in all honesty this might be the best save room theme in the whole series. its got the perfect harmonies, the best vibe, calming yet brooding. I would have given it to RE2R but it only plays when you discover the first save room and NEVER AGAIN. really love how natural this theme sounds and how real the instruments are, though i do miss the emphasis on the double bass

I first played the OG RE 4 in 2020, 2 Months before the Pandemic started. Man i felt in love so fast with RE 4 and i decided that it is the best Game out of the trilogy. Me now finishing and 100%ing it on the Remake feels like a Homage, the Remake was worth every Cent and i thank Capcom for everything. They listened to All of us and to me the Remake is even better and scarier. Thank you Capcom!

Never really gave RE a chance until I played RE2 Remake and fell in love with, currently on a binge and playing RE4, I feel out of all characters Leon has the most intense story line here if you really think about it

It's cool that they merged the original RE 4 music with the music from the RE 2 remake, so many clever touches in this game.

I love that this new save theme has slight hints of other titles as well aside from just the original. For example, you can lightly hear RE7 sounds after the main OG riff plays, which I think is a nice edition.
