Yeah, that's what I loved about the monsters and viruses in all the previous games. The creatures felt like unique, living, and breathing creatures that could plausibly exist (albeit with the strength of the their abilities being exaggerated) and all the viruses and their effects at least functioned like real biological agents would (albeit with very simplified science). This is the main reason why I thought the C-Virus was the worst part of the story, and may have long term negative effects on the lore. Some of the individual monsters, like Derek Simmons' and Carla's mutated forms, are nonsensical. It also seems the game designers could not agree on whether the C-Virus is supposed to create zombies, turn people into identical clones of a previously existing human/B.O.W., cause chaotic regenerative insect-mutations, make the subject grow plaga-like appendages and be killed once they are destroyed, or grant X-Men superpowers to subjects. This, combined with the lack of any clear limitations for the C-Virus' abilities on a normal person, creates so many plot-holes and destroys the uniqueness of all the previous monsters and biological agents, like zombies, lickers, hunters, Tyrants, G-Creatures, the Tyrant Virus, the G-Virus, and Las Plagas parasites.

i seem to remember that if injected with an adjusted dosage of the C-virus you become the intelligent mask wearing zombies, whereas the T-virus-like zombies inhaled an uncontrolled airbourne strain of the C-virus.... All trivial really, because you're right. Once you accept C as canon, you can't really go back... Nor can you go much further. Unless of course 7 will feature space zombies, which honestly wouldn't surprise me...

Still, I find it really confusing trying to figure out what Capcom was going for with the C-Virus. If you do take into account things like dosage or varying C-Virus strains, it still does not make much sense to me. Not counting the mutations of Deborah, Piers, Simmons, and Carla, there seems to be 3 different classes of monsters the C-Virus can produce, that have no consistent strengths and weaknesses. If the c-zombies, J'avo, and Chrysalids are all supposed to result from differing strains of the C-Virus, they should share at least one unique trait, or else they might as well be the results of three different viral agents. And if we are to assume that Carla could easily turn any random person into an indestructible Chainsaw-armed monster, a J'avo that could shoot lightning from its hands, or a human transformer that defies the law of conservation of matter, why doesn't she just create and army of those creatures, instead of wasting resources on an army of common J'avo? That is what I meant when I said the lack of limitations creates plot holes. *I am a major nerd when it comes to the RE lore, so these are just extra paragraphs further expanding my points, only if you would like to read them* With the original Tyrant-Virus, you got human zombies, crimson heads, lickers, hunters, giant bugs, the mutant snake, and the Tyrants. The main feature of the T-Virus is causing an animal to develop a larger and more powerfully built skeletal-muscular frame, in addition to all the effects of the original Progenitor virus. But the T-Virus was temperamental, so any animal not genetically compatible with it could suffer deteriorations, like brain damage and patches of flesh undergoing self-destruction, resulting in contagious bodily fluids and necrosis. The insects and reptiles could adapt to the virus easily and gain those specific enhancements, so that's why you had monsters like Yawn and Black Tiger coming from the T-Virus. Humans were more susceptible however, so many would turn into zombies, before the main effects of the T-Virus take hold and they turn into crimson heads or lickers. Tyrants were the result of humans having DNA that could gain all the benefits of the T-Virus, without the weaknesses. I would surmise that Hunters were a failed attempt to make Tyrants easier to manufacture by splicing human embryos with reptile genes before infecting them. After looking at the appearances of all these monsters and how to defeat them, I could easily imagine how the same virus (or differing strains of the same virus) could help make all those creatures. The flaws of the T-Virus also provide limitations, allowing it to make sense why zombies are so common, while Tyrants are so rare and hard to produce. Using this formula, Resident Evil had this tradition of using a different agent to represent a unique new threat. The G-Virus was a failed attempt to give biological immortality and full regenerative abilities to a human. So when it becomes defective, the G-Virus can make monsters that undergo multiple unpredictable transformations, withstand damage that would kill a t-Virus mutant, and implant pieces of itself into other creatures, which grow like cancerous tumors until they erupt from the host as other G-creatures. Las Plagas parasites cause the creatures they infect to be enslaved by a hive-mind. So whoever has the queen parasite can have direct control over other people and even infected monsters. Killing the parasite will kill/cripple the creature, so it makes sense why the parasitic appendages are now the weak-spots, unlike say the Ogroman or the C-Virus mutated Deborah. The strains of the t-Abyss virus can spread through seawater and allow a creature to develop deep-sea physiology, making it the deadliest as a global weapon of mass destruction. The airborne gas-strain of the C-Virus produces T-Virus like zombies (with random secondary mutations like giant lungs, large amounts of blubber, etc). Then you have the J'avo mutations, which make people unstably try to regenerate and grow insect limbs when damaged (like a hybrid of Veronica Virus and the defective version of Birkin's G-Virus). Without explanation, the J'avo can also be mentally enslaved and made to attack in an organized manner, like Ganados. Then you got the Chrysalids, which are stable enough to make people cocoon themselves and become clones of other creatures, (such as Carla becoming an Ada clone, Napads, Ogroman, etc.) The most chrysalids lack the benefits of J'avo, such as regenerative abilities. Those three monster types have almost nothing in common. What unique practical purpose would the C-Virus serve in the world of Resident Evil?

i think the J'avo were created to move easily among crowds of humans. i think that's the reason they wear masks, as they could pass as humans.

Nah, not really. What I mean is that they should tone down the "over the top action" and place the game back to its survival horror scene with a realistic environment that blurres the line between reality and fantasy.

FlashySenap In that case, they really should. Or at least give the over the top elements stay strictly to characters that have reasons to why they can do so (like Sherry and Wesker). Because we don't need another Boulder Punching moment... Here's hoping that Resident Evil 0 remake provide that, sans Wesker Mode.

actually she really has a feeling for leon ... on RE4 if you're going to play separate ways (the another order) , you'll see she save leon's life many times and when wesker said he leaves leon on krauser's hand she save her again instead of just continuing on her mission... and if you already watch RE damnation i think there's a part there where leon said to ada something happen about them like they had sex or something... leon loves ada and ada loves leon but ada was just afraid to show that she cares for leon and i dunno why... :-)

rizen ziren He didn't mean they had sex, he meant about helping each other escape raccoon city in RE2. And how Ada risked her life multiple times there to save his life and then she came off as a threat to his life later in RE4/Dam/whatever else when they meet. Leon and Ada can't have sex together or be together because ada is a double agent and getting close to Leon would cause too much drama between the two of them because Leon will get mad if she doesn't tell him everything she knows. There will never be trust between the two of them to make a relationship happen so she just goes her way and leon goes his. Plus both of their lives are super busy and monitored by the organizations they're behind. That means they have a lot of meetings and partners so keeping their relationship secret would most likely be impossible.

now i get it... but on RE4 isn't it she's still saving him?... remember when she rings the church bell and save him from krauser... remember her worried face when she met leon at the castle and when wesker said she leaves leon on krauser's hand... and the anonymous letters which re warnings i think they're from her too... i think they have feelings for each other but ada was just afraid to show hers maybe it's because of her being a double agent, she's thingking that she will just cause trouble to leon if she stays with him... on Damnation they're still okay there except with their brief fight scene where ada said "when are we going to carry on from where we left off that night?" which i misunderstood that they had sex ... but thanks for the info though it's clearer now ^_^

CONCLUSION: she really loves leon but there is something about her work that makes her not to love him... but inspite of that i love them like that. i like their "cat and mouse love story" it's kinda has a thrill than other cmmon love story and it's kinda exciting ^_^

He saved her life, she saved his, for him her enigmatic persona was attractive and for her his heroic virtues was unlike anything she was used to.

+combatmaster sure, but that is good for initial attraction, what about the later stages, at a certain point, shouldn't someone ask why the fuck are they still attracted to each other when their relationship is built on nothing.

Leon quoted in RE4 that Ada is "a part of him he can't let go". They find themselves on opposite sides yet always look out for one another, meaning the attraction is a deep connection. In the CGI film Damnation it implies that the two have had an intimate relationship in addition to their cat and mouse foreplay.

I don't like Twilight so I can't give any information about it. If you need a reason then you don't know much about relationships as there are all kinds out there. Theirs is complicated, it's not common, committed, or complacent. They've been allies, they've been enemies, but they've always got each others' backs regardless of what side they're on. Makes perfect sense.
