Him being angry with Chris was because he robbed him the opportunity of meeting him and gaining some type of closure. it’s common for children with absentee parents to have a sense of curiosity - you’re still going to wonder who, and why, and what, and in Jake’s case, he heard all about this supposedly “great guy” growing up from his mother, who asked him not to be angry at Wesker and constantly reassured him that somewhere out there, Wesker was thinking of them and still loved them. He’ll never get to confront him about not being there for them, for being an asshole, for trying to destroy the goddamn planet and being a maniac. like Chris said, he’s still his father, and he’s never going to know him as anything other than a file in a database and a monster from the recounts of those he’s hurt.

I dont think this is it. I think that he grown up with a confused mind because his father wasnt present. So at this point of the story, jack were in jail for 6 months, hearing from Carla Radames a lot of things about his father, getting him more confused. Purely emotions of a whole life.

Jake is angry at Chris because Chris basically robbed him of his opportunity for closure. During his childhood his mother wouldn't stop saying that Albert was a good man and that wherever he was he still loved them, yet still left them behind. Like most children with absentee parent(s), Jake wanted answers from Wesker, why he did what he did, why he left them behind, did he ever look back or did he completely forget about them etc. By killing Wesker, Chris effectively took any hope for any kind of answers from him. Now all he will ever know from his father will be from hear-say by people who hated him or from some files, all of which only depicts him as an inhuman, unfeeling monster. Despite Jake's existence being proof that at some point, Wesker had a relationship, however brief it was, and it was long and developed enough that the woman firmly believed in Albert's love for them even after he left. In some twisted way, Wesker protected Jake and his mother, knowingly or not, by leaving them. He had too many enemies and had already done too much harm for him to have any meaningful long-term relationships without putting them in danger.

nobody said it's a prequel so let me clarify my comment, in RE8 near the ending where Chris stumbles upon Mother Miranda's research it is shown that Ozwell E. Spencer (one of the founders of Umberlla) was inspired by Mother Miranda's research and was also an apprentice to her thus making RE8 somewhat of an origin to Umbrellas research. hope this helps.

Depending on how Capcom handles it, Wesker might be leading the new Umbrella like he wanted. He is intouch with umbrella mercenaries in 2016 canonically so wouldn't be all that suprising to have him get this far

John Fate even though Albert was a piece of scum, his son grew up without ever having any father figure around him, and it has clearly affected him later in his life. You could argue that Jake would have been used by Albert for his twisted schemes, but we will never know if that would have been the case.
