Resident Evil 6 - Live action Pre-viz Test

Actors Reuben Langdon (Chris Redfield) and Kevin Dorman (Piers Nivans) did a live action screen test or video storyboard to not only audition for the Roles but to also test the shoot style and feel for how the final should look in the game. After review Capcom made slight alterations to the dialogue and gave notes on positions before the motion capture was performed and actually used in the game.

The script here made more sense, the BSAA soldiers really looked up to him like a god since he did tons of stuff to prevent Bio-terrorism , seeing him full of vengeance and hate is really not Chris. Very powerful scene that changed Chris's mind to be better for the men that believed and died for him and the cause. One reason Chris is my fav character in the RE games.

Chris is the best character in the whole series without a doubt. He's also the one who went through a ton of development, he's very relatable and also has the wisest quotes like "Trust is built through actions, not words". Chris went from Mansion Incident survivor to legendary soldier who saved the world more times than any other character, what a badass.

Finally a live-action cutscene from RE6. I've waited for this so long. Thanks reuben, can't wait for the rest. These live-action cutscenes are so much better than paul w.s. anderson's movies

Funny how Piers actor looks more like Chris then Reuben. I also love the "sad but true" playing in the background.

This is Chris's turning point. One of my favorite scenes. At this point of the game I was ready for Chris to retire or die a heroic death and have Piers take over. but capcom did us dirty

It's interesting They are so animated in their movements, it must be tough to get the right look and feel that will match the character model's motion Great work

This is the first time I've seen this, pretty neat! How was this transferred to the game? I thought mo-cap actors wore skin tight suits with white dots. But here they're recording the scenes with the characters' costumes, yet the camera work and the mo-cap got translated exactly to the game.
