Well... None of them tried to put an effort on doing a *transylvanian accent* ... The game is supposed to take place in Romania... At some point I thought I was in *California* and most of time I heard Carlos Oliveira, Jill Valentine and Nikolaï voice... No immersion at all... Remember Resident Evil 4? Plenty of *Spanish* pun and accent... Why capcom?

It’s fiction and capcom can do what they want with their creative licenses. Not only that, but to say they didn’t “try” when most likely they voice acted how they were TOLD to by the execs at capcom is just a shitty opinion.

They shouldn’t have cast Jeff as Carlos. He’s an amazing voice actor and he’s awesome, but it ruined the immersion for me cause it’s simply his regular voice like Carlos, minus the dorky lines.

From the 1st Village trailer hearing the very spectrum of *Resident Evil 3 REmake* was bringing us to the very question of the characters development and their *individuality.* Isn't *reusing* some already *existing attributed voice* a failure on the supposed *immersion* ? If Resident Evil Village marketing department worked so hard on its new campaign with an *emphasis* on its *mysteries* before its release, why stepping back on the *previous REmake* ? This step back *diminished* the **hype which makes REvillage sounding too *familiar* before it even came out. Plus knowing that voices are conveying resonances and *inconsistencies* why ruining the opportunity to bring *Roger Craig Smith?* Cause he is a union actor and capcom doesn't want to pay some union wages? Then why not bringing *David Vaughn* from Resident Evil 7? That would be more authentic. Neil Newbon *admitted* that he was a freind with some director called Steve on resident evil 3 & Village. It's obvious that Jeff, Nicole and Neil *stole* the roles that weren't theirs... They got some special *favours* from their director friend and that is not fairplay. What's next Ada Wong being Jeff? In my opinion bringing such *nepotism* on that matter should have been discussed carefully. There is definitely something fishy behind the V.A. choices for Village For instance, I liked Carlos Oliveira accent in the original *Resident Evil 3* but they ruined it in the Remake... Carlos has an American standard accent in that version yet Mikhail and Nikolai have some Russian accent which brings us to the very question... Why ? Why Village V.Acting didn't put an effort on that matter. I mean the game takes place in *Romania* in a remote Village cut from civilization and modernity, frozen in time during the Victorian period but the Villagers, the villains, Dimitrescu daughters, Heisenberg etc don't have an once of *European Eastern accent* ? That also kills the immersion as well... I mean Nikolaï and Heisenberg are dubbed by the same voice actor, Nikolaï has an accent but Heisenberg doesn't? I really think that the characters development is messed up in Village unfortunately... Isn't the job of a Voice actor to *work on his vocalization* ? What's the point doing the exact same voice for different character in the same franchise? Anyone can do that! Capcom is always doing unfortunate choices like that... That really sucks... That aside *Resident Evil Village* Rose was born in *2020* and *Resident Evil 2* Raccoon city mess happened in *1998* but Chris Redfield *Village* is looking like someone else while Village is a *RE7 sequel.* Why? Plus Chris who's supposed to be some 50 years old sounds like a much younger over 20 years old Carlos Oliveira in Resident Evil 3 remake... Where is the voice acting on that? No range between the voices, no variations no differences at all... That was a perfect opportunity to keep Carlos accent tho!! Why would Chris change between Village and RE7 ?? *Resident Evil 5* takes place *many years* after the Spencer Mansion Event tho... Chris isn't buff until RE5! What's going on with capcom cheapness ?
