I just love how the song makes you feel safe when you first hear it, while also having that foreboding nature about it, as if it's saying, "Don't forget what horrors await you out there," and that while you're safe for now, you're gonna have to get your wits about you before leaving. I can't imagine what people felt like when this came out on shelves, and they went home, popped it in their console, and got to the first save room.

Very nostalgic. I really can't explain, how bad i miss old RE games (1,2,3 Code Veronica, Outbreak). I like RE 4,5,6 and Revelations but.... this is not survival horror games anymore. There is no more such deep atmosphere, no feel of despair, hopeless and scare. Listening this music always bring me back memories from long past childhood, when i and my older brother play in RE on Christmas holidays. Soft snow came behind the window, our kitten peacefully sleep on the sofa, our mother cook something delicious on the kitchen and smell carried around all house. A single soundtrack with no lyrics, yet it tells you a message "You are safe...for now. Better get a move on while you can"

OG soundtrack is the absolute best. I love everything about the original RE but I think it's the soundtrack that does it for me. Such a brilliant game, my personal GOAT.

I like that the save rooms in the series are more like "safe rooms". …And the type writer concept . . . (shiver) . . . chills down my spine.

It instantly takes me back to those foggy Saturday nights in 1998 when we didn't sleep and just played through the night. Nothing compares. Sadly it all ended forever after RE3. The gloomy and cold soundtrack really make this melody even more magical.

This takes me back to 1998. I was 15 and got RE 2 for my birthday. I didn't have RE 1 yet. So I bought it with my birthday money from my grandparents. I spent the summer playing both games.

I listened to this music while repairing a ps3 controller for playing Resident evil 1. I can now enjoy it. The track helped me to keep calm.
