Synopsis: Year 2036 - 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. Great, another resident evil show/series that doesn’t focus on any of the franchise’s existing protagonists. I am still waiting for a lore-accurate rendition of resident evil. Would’ve been nice even if that came in the form of a Netflix anime adaptation, like they did with castlevania. I’d be much more excited for an RE anime adaptation of the games than this rubbish.

This is continuing the story after RE6. I'd rather have something new. We RE fans need to accept there are no actors who can pull off Leon, Jill, chris or Claire. Remember the short guy who tried playing wesker? Lance is gonna kill this roll (in a good way)

This is moving way forward in the future as a new story of Resident Evil. Do not expect to see anything from the classic games and you won't be too much disappointed as we are cause of the ruined movies with Mila Jovovich that were supposed to represent the classics... We're still waiting for a decent Resident Evil 2 and 3 movies (at least 3 hours each) which is something that will never happen! This Netflix show won't look like The Walking Dead for sure. It will be related with hi-tech umbrella whatever it is, zombies might be advanced running zombies and stuff like that.

@@RazorNivekUltimate9000 No, they've seen what Netflix' track record is and made a fair judgement call. If it's not going to be cancelled before the story finishes (because Netflix just wants new shows to bring people in with, not long running shows) then it'll just be hot garbage. Like Bebop and all those other jokes that pale compared to older versions.

Gatekeepers are the reason you can enjoy anything anymore…how can you judge whether it’s good or not from the trailer itself…There’s only so times you can mimic the game 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ resident evil can be told in so many ways…The fans shouldn’t be the only way to be told

That is possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Gatekeepers? REALLY? What you're describing is literally just making ANY zombie movie. There hasn't been a single faithful rendition of the video games, with the exception of the CGI movies, and those are basically extensions of RE6, but that's hardly mainstream. The latest movie, Welcome To Raccoon City, was the closest we've had to anything resembling the video games, and even that was a dumpster fire. The fact is, though. The fans have NOT influenced the previous movies in any way shape or form, nor did they "gatekeep" or keep anyone from watching anything. You saying Resident Evil can be told in so many ways, while defending this post apocalyptic wannabe Jovoverse trash, just shows that you have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody expects any movie/show to be a 1:1 copy of the source material, but the Jovovich movies, and whatever this trash is, do not even resemble the source material. If you take out the Umbrella logo, and the Zombie dog, it's just another post apocalyptic zombie show. I forgot about the 2nd Resident Evil movie that took place in the city, but that movie was also trash lol
