The Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project is being met with stiff opposition. A public hearing was held Tuesday on a proposal to build a 500,000-volt transmission line through three counties. Anger, worry and frustration dominated emotions. Residents said they don't like any of the proposed routes, and they are upset about a lack of notice, but most importantly, they are worried about the impact the project will have on their lives and livelihood.
