She looks great for 65. Sad the landlord is not fixing issue right away.

How can the landlord fix the incoming power? The landlord can only fix what is on his property and not allowed to touch the city power so what can he do?
@joshwebb1493Ай бұрын
If the landlord talk to the tenants and they authorized the expenditure of the rental and fuel for a generator that could help, but he would need everyone’s authorization before he could do so that would be the best thing any landlord could do
@arfriedman4577Ай бұрын
@joshwebb1493 you didn't listen. The landlord was supposed to fix before the power company can turn back on.

Probably not they probably aren't from the US. Many of these complexes are owned by overseas entities and only managed by US companies.

a generator doesn't work if every unit has it's own seperate power source.
@MW713Ай бұрын
@cynthiaallen6394 gasoline generator or propane generator 🙄 idk where you're from, but here in Texas, you can buy small generators or huge building generators and everything in between. I also have propane heaters and a battery-operated squirrel fan, so all I have to do is set a cooler full of I've in front of it, and it blows cold air.

Tenants probably can’t even sue the landlords, because most of them will force you to sign a no class action or right to arbitration/something, when you sign the lease agreement.

I was once a renter with good credit for over 6 years. Glad I met my real estate agent while looking to rent another house because of nightmares like this. Negligence from where I was renting silently pushed me into opening my eyes and buying a home.

File in small claim landlord court a request to break the lease. This lawyer is not totally correct. A judge needs to break the lease.

That’s incorrect. If you follow proper procedure you can move out and not be held liable-it’s a MEGA tight exception but can be done. The lawyer’s advice is actually💯 legit
