We all face challenges and we all find ways to overcome them. Resilience is ordinary not extraordinary. We all have it to larger or smaller degrees. We want to help build awareness of this and support young peoples capacity to do positive and realistic things to support themselves. So push yourself, set new goals, overcome a hurdle. #ThisIsResilience For more information visit: www.healthforteens.co.uk

here's the summary for whoever needs this for a worksheet or something 5 Ways to Build Resilience 1. Sleep: Having the right amount of sleep is essential to building resilience. You should have 9 hours of sleep each day. 2. Sharing: Talking and staying connected with your friends and family, can help your mood and help build resilience. 3. Learning and Achieving: Learning new things and achieving goals helps your attitude. You should set goals and always try your best to achieve them. 4. Emotions: Don’t suppress your emotions, instead, express them through arts, music, or anything else. 5. Relaxation: When things get overwhelming you should take some time to relax and shut off the distractions.

Great video. I love this quote on resilience, “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” ― Maya Angelou

Resilience is a person’s ability to cope with the ups and downs of life. This includes how a person deals with the challenges they might face throughout this human journey. It could include the death of a loved one, a difficult disease, a heartbreak, in essence losing something or someone who is very dear. And this will happen to every single person sooner or later while we are in this temporary material world.
