I love this! I just picked up 4 bar stools someone left at the curb. I’ve sanded them down and have been thinking about experimenting with resin for the first time. You have inspired me! Liked and subscribed. Keep up the good work!

This is so gorgeous Tish! I'm searching You tube for a resin marble look. I found Katie, The Fluid Fox & Mrs. Colorberry of late and want very much to emulate one of Katie's Chocolate Brown Marbled with gold heart. She doesn't have tutorial type videos like yours, so I came to your channel to see if I could find something similar. I found this and am in love with it. I imagine I could change up the colors having purchased several of the browns from Colorberry. I clicked on your stonecoat link, but could not find the black base tint, not knowing exactly what product it might be. Is it an epoxy paste? Perhaps they would have that in a brown. Anywhooo, thank you for always providing such amazing details about your work. I am extremely appreciative of all you do! 🙋🏻‍♀️💥🤗😍🥰🐇💓💕 This stool is over-the-moon 👀!

Unfortunately stone coat discontinued their base tints but rustoleum oil based enamel paint is the same thing. I will add a link to a video I made a while back using that paint. It works really good for cells. Just like the base tint I used in this video 🤗

I guess u were using the fantastic base coat the stone coat discontinued? What do u use now that u feel that comes close? Why they discontinued that is crazy beyond words! I assume the black was discontinued because the white base was. It also produced fantastic cells

Yes on this piece I used the stone coat base tint that has since been discontinued. I've found colour passion cell base white is very similar. You can get it from Laura's art corner, she has a store on Facebook. Discount code TISH10% will give you a discount. Can you offer any advice on avoiding or fixing drips along the edge of the stool as the horizontal layer runs over. I noticed you run your gloved hand along the edge, however, More epoxy can later drip from the flat top over the edge and cause ripples on the edge.

Thanks for watching. What resin are you using? Depending on the working time of your resin. You can go in and keep smoothing the edge with your gloved hand to avoid those.

Beautiful... just grabbed an old footstool that had an ugly top done with the loop and yarn project... I wentvto stone coat website on my own and your link and put in black base coat tint and nothing came up...am I supposed took for dye? can you post a photo of the bottle or can I use any black dye?

In this video I show how to use rustoleum oil based enamel paint instead of the stone coat base tints. You can get this rustoleum oil based enamel paint from Walmart. It comes in several colors and it's around $10 a can. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e5N6pN1o0qvdgmg.html

What is the stone coat countertops base tint called on their site? This is what you push your color on to get those amazing cells?

Thanks for watching 😊 unfortunately they discontinued their base tints, I used on this piece to get the cells. You can use rustolem oil based paint instead. It comes in a can. Add some to your resin and it acts just like the stone coat base tints. The rustoleum oil based paint will give you cells. Here's a link to a video I made a while back using it.
