Hi Everyone, I know it has been a couple of months, I have missed you all and have missed getting lost in creating. Creative funks suck, especially when mixed with lifes curve balls.
I hope you are all keeping well and taking plenty of time for yourselves. I am happy to be back. Although, I think I will reduce the number of uploads to one a week, I am hoping that will stop me from hitting more blocks. Which day would you prefer I upload, Tuesday or Friday (or any other day)?
Anyway, enough of my rambling, todays video is a resin skull (that I am in love with). I used chameleon nail powders to dust the mould and coloured the resin black. I was so happy with the end result. PLEASE NOTE THE SAFETY ADVICE REGARDING RESPIRATORS

WOW! Thanks for the shout out! That's a nice respirator you got. Real glad to see it. The skull turned out beautifully! I've been wondering how well a clear coat would work over chameleon powder. It worked perfect! Thanks for sharing another great video with us.

You are more than welcome, thanks for educating me, its definitely worth spreading if I can. Yes, the clear coat worked really well, I think also because it was a matte mould. I would be keen to try the clear coat on a glossy mould for comparison. I am glad you like it 😊

@@GaetanZenith A respirator with organic vapor filters will protect you from resin AND mica powder.

I was so happy to see your video lined up on my notifications! So glad you're back. This turned out lovely, how therapeutic to lay all those lovely colours on first. You had me stumped with the mold being turned inside out hahaha! Once a week is fine by me, Tuesday is a good day. xxx

Thank you so much and I am happy I am back too. Yes, I forgot to say it was a skull mould but it made it a little more interesting too. I absolutely love those colours and dusting the moulds may be one of my favourite ways to colour the resin. I’m glad once a week suits, it’s hard to always stay motivated and fresh with two videos per week, well it is for me anyway 😂 plenty of others can do it easily xx

Welcome back my friend. So glad to see you pop up as I was scrolling. Beautiful colors. Where do you get them from? You do excellent resin work. Your other little one looks great too. I'm ok with once a week, it gives you time to do other important things. Hope your venture with the house is going smoothly. I know it's a pain. We've done it several times. Hope all is well and you're healthy. All is well here except for the 90 deg. days. 32 in Irish.? Hot anyway. Lol Stay safe and sweet. D

Aww thank you so much, nice to see your name also 😊 I got the powders from Amazon last year some time. I am glad to hear you are good with once a week and you are bang on with it letting me get my other things sorted too. Yes, the house buying process is a big annoyance but, we should be out the other end of it soon. All great here and the family keeping well too, thanks for asking. I hope you and Mike are keeping well also? Yes, 32 degrees celsius here which around 90 degrees Fahrenheit...its not something I am use to but, it is is nice to see. I have the fans going constantly, although, I am not built for the heat lol 😂 I have more of a winter physique 🤣 I hope you are getting lots done outdoors as I know how much you dislike being stuck inside. Have you ever tried putting the mica powder in alcohol when you paint it on? it gives you more control over where it goes when you have small details. I just found your channel and love your work. Thanks or sharing your work with us

This is just what I was looking for. I have this pink mold and I wasn't sure if you could turn it inside out without tearing it to paint the powders. Thank you for the video. I came out beautiful. I didn't realize this mold wasn't shiny. Looking inside it now I see it isn't.
