Thanks for this lesson. There are so many cute vintage patterns 'not' sized for us plus figures.

Yes, it is very hard to find patterns in larger sizes! I'm so glad you found the video helpful!!

I "love" that your pillow in the intro is all preachy!

Love the way you explained this resize. So to the point and not to much to work out.

Thank you for explaining this way of resizing. I personally prefer sewing with nancy resizing. It's so much easier and less complicated. But it good to learn both ways.

thanks you for this, I'd love to see how you do this on a bodice with darts

The darts would be moved in (smaller) or out (larger) the same distance as the side seam. I am hoping to redo this video in the near future to add addition information for different situations. Thanks for your comment!

Can this technique be used for pants? I need to size up and also lengthen trouser patterns

I haven't finished watching this video, I watched the one about just sizing up by measuring the gaps, what would be the main differences in methods? Which is more accurate? I need to size up maybe 4 sizes, thankyou

Both methods are very accurate. You should choose the method that is easiest for you to understand and do. I'm only providing different options. Thanks so much for watching!

I was taught to not increase more than 2 sizes at a time or the pattern piece can become distorted. If you need to go up 4 sizes, increase the original pattern piece by 2 sizes then repeat by increasing the new pattern piece in the same way by the additional 2 sizes. If you’re using the slash and spread method your original pattern piece you’ll end up opening up large gaps which is where things can get skewed and out of proportion. Hoping that makes sense!

Too much talking; not enough demo, with directions.

My way of teaching includes giving reasons why things are done a certain way. Giving step by step directions with no explanation doesn't help people to learn a certain concept.
