Thanks for your video. I learned a lot. It is a really great video. I was wondering if you would do a video on the entire cleaning part of all the relevant parts to clean (demonstration) like the tubes,etc. It would be great if the entire complete setup ( pillows, tubes,etc.) were taken apart,cleaned, then the video showing all the parts being put back in the machine (obviously you'll need an extra set of parts because the parts cleaned would be wet ;) I'm visual and that would be so helpful. Thanks again for your video!

Honestly, I'm tired and can't sleep due to the intense and ongoing pain of 4 broken ribs. I have this cpap but turned on this video thinking it would be just what I need to put me to sleep 😂 What a nice surprise when it was actually interesting and I learned a lot about my machine's use and maintenance! This foreign machine has now become familiar and cleaning is no longer a daunting task. So, while I watched this thinking I'd fall asleep, I watched it all the way through and I'm now going to sleep with a feeling of relief and confidence in caring for this contraption. This machine is terrific! We are new to this therapy and started with a Luna machine that, because of noise, provided LESS sleep (for both of us, me, the wife, and my husband, the user) than severe APNEA. UGH! We were changed over to this machine and noise is GONE. So happy. Still getting used to the masks, we've literally tried everything available and so far it looks like the ResMed Airtouch F20 is the only one we can work with. Getting a fit that doesn't leak AND is comfortable throughout multiple sleeping positions and for longer than 3-4 hours at a time is our remaining challenge. Thanks so much for all of your work, reviews and "mini-lessons". CPAPmyway is fantastic! Cheers

I had tried sleep therapy with a cpap 6 years ago and I could not get used to it. The machine I got back then was noisey, the air pressure was not comfortable at all. Hence I stopped the treatment. Now I started the treatment up again and I got this cpap unit by Resmed and I must say it's a game changer. I love it. It is super quiet, the air pressure set is on auto and it gives me what I need when I need it. It has an app that shows your sleep results each morning and it has been easy to set up and use. I absolutely love this unit.

I loved my Airsense 10. The only reason I got a new one is 3G. Love the touchscreen. I kept my 10 for camping, no 12 volt power supply for the 11. It took my dogs about a week to learn the different sounds when I'm asleep and awake. I was unaware the outlet comes out to clean.

I’ve been using an old ResMed machine since 2011, and finally decided to get another newer machine. I like this new 11 model. The water tank makes for a messier fill, as my old machine just had a hole in the top to pour the water. This new 11 tank makes you lift off the cover, pour, cover and slide in. I still haven’t done it yet without spilling water!

I started with an s9. Love it and its bag. Someone in my household got a s10 i didnt care for it, when i had encouragement to get a replacement i fought to get the s11, and, its ok. I like that its smaller i dont like the tank it spills easily when you fill it, and the top is kinda curved so if you store something on top of the (s9) like foam earplugs or a remote, in the s11 it often slides off. But the display and interaction with the myair app is nice. The 10 and 11 use more distilled water than the 9 ever did though. Resmed puts no cord velcro cordkeeper on the 11 either so bring your own or its sloppy for travel. Also the filters are smaller than the 9's and the filter door on the 11 is a janky flimsy flap.

Yea the water tank makes this machine crap to me. My old model 10 lasted days. I did learn here if I keep my room at about 50 to 55% humidity it can last 3 days with water. This is better but it is a inconvenience I didn’t need to added to my sleep therapy. So if the tank wasn’t broke why did they change it….as soon as a model comes out with larger tank I will be switching now saving up to try the extra water tank.

The Luna 2 is also good, but you have to pull the data on your own with the SD card on your Home Computer. I’ve been washing the hose, mask, and water chamber every Saturday since I got my first cpap 12/30/22. I had no idea about the inner part I need to remove and wash so thank you! Also I didn’t know I needed to check my air filter weekly so I’ll be adding that step too. I thought the machine would tell me when it’s time to replace it since it’s so high tech. I am wondering why it won’t stay connected to my Bluetooth. I keep having to reconnect it. I notice when I close the Airsense app, the Bluetooth indicator goes away. I can’t seem to figure it out. Thanks for the info!

I think that the bluetooth is usually because your phone connects to other things and drops out the Air11 connection, but it would be really hard to know. Thanks for watching!

Great video and very informative! I just started using new 11 after 6 years of 10. My recent complaint is the water tank is smaller and uses all the water in 8 hours. The 10 had a larger tank and I would only use half the tank even with more than 8 hours of sleep. I’m concerned about damaging the unit if all the water evaporates should I sleep past 8 hours. Should I be concerned or is there a humidifier setting that needs adjustment?

Hello, Clay! My wife has the Resmed 11, the exact model in your video. And we LOVE and APRECIATE your video!!!! My wife is having an issue with her Resmed 11. She recently received a new reservoir. She put the NEW one in her 11 and, for her, it is VERY DIFFICULT to remove the reservoir, to fill with distilled water nightly. She put the OD one back in and it is SIMPLE for her to remove the OLD one! Please help us and advise what to do. I suggested she call the supplier and request a replacement reservoir. SHE said, "No! I'll just use the old one till I get another reservoir!" Is this the best answer please? THANK YOU, CLAY!!!!

So I had a CPAP years ago and could never get used to it and it ended up in the trash. 6 months ago I got this Air Sense 11 and it took me a couple nights to get used to it and now I use it every night ... way, way better than the old machine which I do not even remember the brand. The big PRO for this machine is the way it ramps up the pressure automatically and you do not even hear it run ... SUPER QUIET! The CON to this machine is pulling the water chamber out every night to fill it ... if this had a like a check valve port that you could use like a lab safety squeeze bottle to fill would make it so much easier ... and the other issue is that if I get 7 hours of required sleep the humidifier chamber is bone dry in the morning. It needs to be increased in size a little bit! I did a lot of research before buying this unit and I know it was the best choice!

Great video! I have been using my ResMed 11 for a few months now with no issues. During the summer it was working perfectly. However, it’s starting to get drier out now. This weekend my tube started gurgling. I believe it’s called “rainout”. I haven’t changed any settings so I am surprised that this is now happening. I am getting approximately 2-3 tablespoons of condensation in the tube. Do you have any suggestions as to how to make this stop?

I think this was a good video, I would have liked to see you demonstrate the machine with you putting on the mask connecting the hoses. What is the correct procedure during the night & you need to use the bathroom. Do you take the mask off shut the machine or do you leave the mask on disconnect the hose leave the machine running then reconnect the hose and go back to bed. I'm a senior and I get up 3 to 4 times a night to pee what do you recommend. Also, do I really need to go thru the menu to use it or just turn it on use it and then in the morning or whenever I get up just shut if off. What is the best way to clean the hoses and how do you ensure that no water is left in the hose before using it again. Thank you

I wish they'd answer your questions. I have the same questions..I am wondering what is the recommended procedure when taking the mask off a few times during the night. I'm figuring that removing the mask for a restroom break might cause the Sleep Report to falsely report that mask isn't sealing. For example, should I enable autostart and autostop? Right now, I only have autostart enabled. Thanks!

I had to purchase this machine because my System One was part of the recall in 2021. This is my favorite machine and for obvious reasons, plus it was a considerable upgrade from the System One. I'm sure everybody here would agree. The myAir app is fantastic. Easy to use and read your statistics. What I don't like is the bag because there is no room for the cushion or the mask. When I do travel I have to find space in another back for those two items. You said the water chamber can be washed - top rack of dishwasher. Does the same apply to the air outlet seal? P.S. I would suggest using a lapel microphone or a professional microphone so your sound is much clearer and without the echo that is difficult to endure for the entirety of this video.

I want to try adjusting it manually but how do I find out where "auto" had it adjusted to for I can start from there? I prefer not to start at 60 & work myself up gradually to 86. Yo Clay, great video! I’ve got that machine on the way from April as soon as I sign the agreement. Stoked for a new machine after my Airsense 10 started falling apart due to user negligence. Will this machine be compatible with the SoClean2 SC1200? If so, will a different reservoir top still be necessary? Lastly, why is it necessary to continually rent these machines without BCBS fully paying and providing to the insured? Thanks again for the video! These machines are truly a blessing, without which I’d be walking around half dead..screaming at everyone..LOL!

Awesome! You will love the 11 I am sure. SoClean is not making the adapters like that any more. So you can use the standard adapter with standard tubing on the Air11, but SoClean isn't promoting integration anymore. The Insurance world is not our specialty. We only provide on the self-pay route. Usually by the time you rent forever through insurance you might have been better to just buy from us. Thanks for watching.

I saw your review of the Luna G3 (excellent video, btw). Which one do you prefer, the Res 11 or the G3 ? I like the idea of not having to remove the water chamber of the G3 though I would worry about the "press & click" mechanism wearing out. Right now I have a DreamStation 2 which I do NOT enjoy sliding the chamber in and out. This one looks sleeker than the Luna G3 and there is a difference between a manual rotary dial and a touch screen. Can you say which one you like better? TIA
@CPAPmyway
@CPAPmyway Жыл бұрын
Well... that is tough. The G3 is a better price point, and has most of the same features as the AirSense 11. Both are very reliable and quiet. The 11 is smaller, touch screen and has a much better app to track your sleep results. So I think that you would just have to decide if the smaller footprint, and added features are worth the price difference for the two.

@@CPAPmyway Thanks much for reply. Would you know if either one has a larger capacity humidifier tank? I think if one is larger that is the one I will get. I ALWAYS run out of water with the Dream Station 1 or 2 and I have the humidity level on ONE. My mask fits well. Why don't they make the tank larger? Just to brag what a small "profile" the machine has?

I’m new to CPAP and used my 11 for the first time last night. I was surprised at how quiet it is. One thing I noticed is that tonight I need to use the chin strap that I received with the machine to keep from mouth breathing! I have a long beard and mustache, and according to my report this morning, the seal on my nasal mask was good all night. So far, one question I have is about the temperature setting. Options are automatic or selecting a specific temperature. I like to sleep in a cold bedroom, so I set the temperature at 67°F. Does lowering the temperature like I did turn off the humidifier? I couldn’t tell whether or not it did or not because the reservoir of water was still very close to the “max“ line this morning. Mine came with heated tubing if that makes any difference.
@CPAPmyway
@CPAPmyway 2 ай бұрын
The temp will regulate the tubing. Increase the setting if you get water in the tube.

I have been using the Airsense 10 sinds a few months, but i'm still not used to it. It might be me, but when i wear the mask (full face btw, cant use the other), then i just wake up at least every 1-2 hours, so in the end, after a few days of use, i need at least 1 day sleeping without the mask to have a normal 8 hour sleep and stay awake during daytime. Reading most comments, it feels like i am the only one having this problem though,

But please, can you let us know where we can get new filters ? The screen goes off after a little bit as you mentioned. Is an option in settings to have the screen display ON the whole night ? Glad the video was helpful. Filter LInk: cpapmyway.com/store/disposable-cpap-parts/filters/respironics-disposable-filter-dreamstation I do not think that you can stop the screen from dimming. You can touch it to wake it up at any time though. If it is in full auto mode 4-20cm, then it can certainly go as high as 20cm. You would have to check with your Dr to see if there is any "better" range for you. Everyone is so different that there is no "normal".

I just got my FIRST CPAP, the AirSense11. I started with an AirTouch N20 nasal mask, but found I started mouth breathing once I fell into a deep sleep, which woke me up. I switched to a AirFit F20 full-face. The full-face mask doesn't seem to push nearly as much air volume as I experienced with the N20. Does this seem normal? With the N20 there was a noticeable stream of air constantly being expelled from the mask, with the F20 I can barely feel any air coming out of the mask, which makes me wonder if it's forcing enough air into my nose/mouth???
@CPAPmyway
@CPAPmyway Жыл бұрын
That is a normal feeling. When you are able to exhale into a large space like a full face mask, it can feel like a lot less pressure. You may also want to adjust the mask selection on your settings to full face if it is still on nasal.
@DoctorSmartyPants
@DoctorSmartyPants Жыл бұрын
@@CPAPmyway I agree. Having used all the diff types of masks, yes the full face feels the least amount of pressure because the volume is larger, and therefore far more comfortable in my opinion.
