They were hitting that ball good. All those run on just a few homeruns. Usually, Resmondo does that to other teams. This time the rabbit got the gun and put in some work in.

Met Josh Jones at the Pic O Dixie in Chattanooga TN this past weekend and I gotta say he was an extremely cool dude, gave me some pointers (I'm a year into tournament pitching) and made me a str8play fan for life.

Thats the best ive seen str8 play look & hit....also by far the worst ive seen resmondo hit which wont happen to often but If str8play can swing the sticks like that, they can be dangerous.

How much distance is it from home plate to the outfield!? These teams be hitting the ball like there’s no tomorrow. Haven’t seen a field like this in NY where i’m from 😢

The fields at the Cactus Classic were baseball fields 325-355-385-355-325. Really big.

This ball they are using is insane. Its like golfball technology, i feel its too much ball even for these fields. fielders can barely react to most hits. ive been watching conference since when howie krause was playing... Fom what my eyes can tell this is the fastest the game has ever played. I can hit a dudley sy league ball 350 feet... so there no reason these beasts should be hitting what amounts to basically a big yellow golfball.

Interesting take. Many players were saying the ball wasn't any good. They usually use the Dudley Stadium ZN on baseball fields but in this tournament they used the Dudley Pro-M Hardcore ball. Overall it was more about whether the wind was blowing in or out but the games seemed pretty good overall. I personally feel it knuckles too much but there were games where teams had zero home runs at this tournament. Fences were 325-355-385-355-325

@@sw48 im not really talking specifucally at this tournament, but in general imo the 240 bats with these hardcore balls have exceeded the game speed of the 220 bat era. so usssa changing the bat standard from 220 to 240 under the guise of safety, was questionable at best.

Is it me or does the bases look shorter? I know these guys have speed it just seems they are closer together. Say what you want but Jason Matusik is in the lead for player of the year or MVP of the conference. Now all the conference teams know that good hitting and some defense you have a chance to beat ressy. They were off this game and the next cause I believe they lost two in a row. Helmer will have these guys back on track the next tournament. Hell I just don’t see how he has so many good players ok with sitting out a game or two. I’m sure there is a couple who tell there wives they aren’t liking their playing time. No competitor likes to sit out, especially when you’re one of the best players in the conference and can play anywhere.

These fields were 325-355-385-355-325 so like the poster below said the gaps are huge. The bases were 75 feet, which is 5 feet longer than normal softball is played at.
