I said it on Twitter & I’ll say it again here… The elbow was 100% an accident. Jake’s wrong there. But he is correct about JJ’s fighting style although I wouldn’t call it dirty, I’d call it negligent. He throws wild reckless haymakers & has a self destructive technique. He was bound to land an elbow… or get counterpunched

I’d argue that just because it’s negligent it doesn’t mean it’s not dirty. JJ has gotten the exact same criticism since his he started boxing and hasn’t improved. He’s well aware that he punches wildly and almost every opponent he’s gone against gets hit behind the head

@@Kevashi No disrespect but you're coping so hard. As far as I can remeber none of his oppenents moved their heads in anyway that is adnormal for a boxer. Just because they''re in the clintch or not within jabbing range doesn't make it awkward and i'm not even sure what you mean otherwise. JJ's wildness and unintentional cheapshots are almost entirely on him. I mean just look at the previous fights his oppenents had, none of them had this issue until they fight him.

@@d.6786 I am not saying every moment is like that, but there are moments where they move their heads into a direction and JJ goes for a hit creating the situation where the back gets hit. There are clear and obvious moments of realisation with his opponents that those wild arm launches hurt like hell and they want to prevent getting hit. On many more moments its just JJ being wild as hell. Regardless of anything the Joe Fournier fight is a no contest. I am just being realistic here.

Everyone knows that the elbow and shots to the back of the head aren’t intentional but it’s JJ’s responsibility as a “boxer” to be more mindful of these things, especially the ones to the back of the head because most of the time he’s throwing overhands that are completely overthrown and wrap around to the back of the head. Him being a “wild fighter” like Logan and Mike said is just a way to cover up that JJ quickly loses composure and technique which leads to him endangering his opponents. We all clowned on Pineda back then but after rewatching that fight (and the others that were mentioned) a lot of those hard shots were to the back of the head.

I am an amateur boxer who is going to turn pro in about a year or two. I am 44-2. Never have I ever seen any of my amateur boxers do this. I know a guy am KSI‘s camp who said he intentionally did this and he knew that he had to do it before the later rounds because Fournier was going to expose him for the lack of skills KSI has so he had to do dirty tactics in order to win. I would agree with you that it wasn't Itentiional. However, Its not because it was a freak thing that happened but JJ being an extremely dirty fighter, I wouldn't be shocked if this was the first time he's done this, because if you look at his previous fights and look how he fights, every single fight he hits his opponents in the back of the head every time. He swings widely, doesnt set up the shot, doesnt aim, he goes full on rampage. There are moments you can see he's different fighter but when shit hits the fan he goes back to his natural way of fighting.

My issue is when it happened, everyone in the event, commentators included, was acting like they didn’t see it, even when he was being interviewed they told ksi “some of joe’s fans think it might’ve been an elbow that knocked him out” as if it wasn’t literally played on the replay showing a clean elbow being the final blow. Just makes me wonder how everyone would’ve reacted if ksi wasn’t running the event.

When it comes to the shots to the back of the head you also have to look at what the recipient is doing. Turning your head so that what would be a clean shot turns into a shot to the back of the head is not a blemish on the punch thrower, it’s a sign of inexperience on the defender and if you watch the fights that’s always what the refs say, you gotta defend yourself, that’s up to you, not the dude throwing the punches at you.

I don’t think he went out the throw the elbow, but when his elbow was heading towards his face, and he could have pulled it or even taken power off of it, he definitely leaned into it. If you wanna be a pro boxer and have no control over your hands and elbows you’re a rank amateur. For me 100% he didn’t set out to throw the elbow, but in the split second of opportunity he took it. Also he would have felt it and he flat out denied it.

there's a difference between Dirty & Wild, JJ's not a dirty fighter, he's just very wild at times which makes those situations happen. But it's never intentional I believe so you can't say he's a dirty fighter

You have to see ksi is training in a mma gym so its not your normal boxing gym so they use different technique with throwing punches and you can see that with ksi fighting style

He’s not training Thai boxing dude. It might be an mma gym but he’s not training a different facet of combat sports because the gym is a mma gym by name. They still box there. In Thai boxing and some mma you learn to throw elbows sure but that doesn’t mean KSI is throwing elbows at the pads when boxing. You aren’t drilling elbows all day either. If you are doing Thai boxing pad work you can throw elbow techniques. But you have to be drilling it specifically. You don’t Throw elbows in sparring ever. The he trains at an mma gym isn’t a realistic argument. It was somewhat wreckless technique but he threw the punch short and followed thru with the punch came across with the elbow. It was prob a Disqualification or should of been. No contest. Zero chance he’s drilling elbows in the gym all day

If it was a pro that throws like ksi they will call him dirty, Ksi has been in the scene for a long time and planning to fight pro boxers. Yet he throws the wildest out of all influencers. It’s not the end of the world, but we shouldn’t make excuses and he should fix this problem.

Yes he's always been a dirty fighter. Whether intentional or just reckless, it's still dirty fighting at the end of the day. Constant punches to the back of the head, headbutts and many more close collisions, and you can get hit clean by an elbow at any time because the dude STILL doesn't know how to f'ing punch straight like a child. Even if it's unintentional, if you consistently do these things you are no doubt a dirty fighter.

The only thing i will agree with jake with is the Nate fight. Also i know Ksi didnt do the elbow but his video explaining it wasnt a elbow was insane to me. I train mma again i know he didnt do it on purpose but if you watch the clip a few times you can cleary see the forearm/elbow connecting. But its over now so onto the next fights.

thats not true, although i dont think it was intentional, i think he just cant punch properly, everyone saying that KSI was winning the fight doesnt know boxing, some fighters start slow, Tank is a good example of this, if the elbow didnt happen theres a chance KSI loses. KSI winning at the start means nothing at all.

KSI is intentionally "reckless". He's absolutely aware of the way he pulls his opponent in and throws punches making an elbow likely. He's also aware of when he's rabbit-punching. You're calling him a fool if you think he isn't aware One of your worst videos
