it is quite strange that Allah calls a vision a 'Journey' (asraa). Then in Ayah 60 calls this journey a vision (Ro'ya). And this Ro'ya becomes a fitnah (trial). Why on earth would a mere vision becomes a source of Fitnah (trial)? Even if it is a Prophetic vision. It becomes trial when it is something extraordinary. Not a Ro'ya!!

Ruya meaning in dictionary is not particularly and only refers to dream. Looking, viewing, vision, dream, seeing. Now the question is why we only stick to the dream??? While Allah in first verse of the surah is saying that Allah "took" his slave from masjidil Haram to masjidil aqsa in the night. Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. Now the point to ponder is why Allah said he "took" his servant... Before saying "to show". If it was only a dream then the verse could be that Allah "showed" his servant his signs. حلم ، منام ، رویا Above three words are used for dream in Arabic but حلم and رویا are not only used in the meaning of dream . They have other meanings too...

About Professor Javed Ahmed Ghamidi, I not only believe that there is no scholar of his stature profundity of religious thought and precision of its understanding and lucidity of his articulation in the Muslim word, but I also believe that I have yet to see anybody more profound just and humane than Professor Javed Ahmed Ghamidi sahib, when it comes to commentary on social issues including human rights. (MAY HIS SEED PROSPER GOD WILLING)

"اگر میں کہوں کہ میں نے کل رات خواب میں وائٹ ہاؤس کی سیر کی تھی تو لوگ کیوں مجھے جھوٹا کہیں گے ؟” الله کا پیغمبر اگر کہے کہ اس نے خواب میں مسجد اقصیٰ کی زیارت کی تھی تو یہ واقعہ لوگوں کے لئے فتنہ کس طرح بن سکتا ہے؟؟ ہاں اسکی تعبیر پر بحث ہوسکتی ہے اگر یہ محض خواب تھا تو مومنین کے علاوہ لوگوں کے لئے کیا خاص بات تھی خواب کے معاملے میں تو اصل میں تعبیر زیر بحث ہوتی ہے نہ کہ خواب میں دیکھا جانے والا واقعہ الله تعالیٰ سورت کی شروعات اس تمہید سے کررہا ہے کے پاک ہے وہ ذات (یعنی قابل تعریف ہے وہ ذات ) جو اپنے بندے کو راتوں رات مسجدے اقصیٰ لے گئی کہ کچھ نشانیاں دکھانے !! اچھا نشانیوں کی کوئی تفصیل نہیں یعنی زور اس پر ہے کے راتوں رات لے گیا ! اس سے تو یہی معلوم ہوتا ہے کے "رویا" لفظ جو کہ بعد میں آیا شاید مشاہدے کے معنی میں استمعال ہوا ہے نہ کہ خواب؟؟ خاکسار کی درخواست ہے کا غامدی صاحب توضیح فرمائیں

First of all, I greet Ghmadi Sahib the great, I watch your videos and like the way you approach. Allah has given you wonderful art of speech and you are so polite to express your narrative. Most of the time I agree to your things and my way of thinking also changed about Isa AS after watching your series. There’re many things which make this to interpret as physical journey than the dream سُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَسۡرَىٰ بِعَبۡدِهِۦ لَیۡلࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡأَقۡصَا ٱلَّذِی بَـٰرَكۡنَا حَوۡلَهُۥ لِنُرِیَهُۥ مِنۡ ءَایَـٰتِنَاۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡبَصِیرُ Exalted is He Who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِٱلنَّاسِۚ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا ٱلرُّءۡیَا ٱلَّتِیۤ أَرَیۡنَـٰكَ إِلَّا فِتۡنَةࣰ لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّجَرَةَ ٱلۡمَلۡعُونَةَ فِی ٱلۡقُرۡءَان In first verse the words to 'taken his servant' to show signs ..and other verse is saying ٱلرُّءۡیَا ٱلَّتِیۤ أَرَیۡنَـٰك literally means The sight which was shown to You and you combine with the initial verse that The Prophet PBUH was literally taken to show . When you see the dream of Yousaf AS you can see in the beginning of Surah he says I’ve seen and Yaqoob AS is asking not to share the dream and in the last part Yousuf tells about fulfillment of that dream..This is a classical dream.. When you see in Surah Fatah also is a classical dream and when this word used for Ibrahim AS, dream is mentioned it is clearly a classical dream. Same is the case with the dream of the king in Surah Yousaf and all those dreams end in some results as Yousaf AS dream, Ibrahim AS dream, dream of king, Prophet PBUH dream is not mentioned but it is mentioned as a concluded or fulfilled dream or interpreted dreams.. So question is IF IT IS ONLY A DREAM WHY IT'S MENTIONED IN EXTRAORDINARY MEAN AS VERSE STARTED WITH PRAISE OF ALLAH AND THEN IT STATES PROPHET PBUH WAS TAKEN AT NIGHT JOURNEY TO SHOW SIGNS FROM MASJID AL HARAM TO MASJID AL AQSA AND ENDS AGAIN WITH ALLAH SWT TWO NAMES If it was happening in Masjid Al Haram then it should have been mentioned that He was shown these signs at Masjid Al Haram.If it it’s simply a dream what’s special in mentioning that..especially to disbelievers and why they will verify by asking specific questions about real things in Jerusalem and Allah had make the things visible to him live to give accurate answers to their questions. Here you deviated from your standards which set for Isa AS narrative. 1- If Quran is بـلسـان عـربـي مـبـيـن,first verse clearly says that that it was a night journey 2- You always say that we should interpret precise things from detailed things ( Ijmaal from tafseel) here you interpret verse no 1 from verse no 60 but as you seen details of event are in verse no 1 so verse no 60 it should be interpreted in light of verse no 1. 3- If someone tell you about his dream will you verify the things he has told you? What was color of doors and so on.. as did disbelievers arranged some experts who knew the specific things about Jerusalem to ask cross questions about things. Other things I agree can be separate events mentioned in Surah Najam 4-In every of the dreams mentioned in Glorious Quran, If it’s about Yousaf AS, dreams of prisoner fellows of Yousaf AS, King’s dream in Surah Yousaf and Ibrahim AS dream are described as every individual is describing his dream and interpretation comes later.. Only the Prophet PBUH’s dream in Surah Al Fath is directly interpreted without being mentioned in Glorious Quran...But here is Surah Isra..It is not described from or described in words of Prophet PBUH but Allah SWT is describing that He has taken his servant at night time, أَسۡرَىٰ means physical journey and origin and destination of travel mentioned as clearly indicate a physical journey and word أَسْرِ twice used in Glorious Quran for physical journey for Musa AS and Lut AS. 5- When Allah SWT is describing this He has taken his Servant to show His Signs, that means ٱلرُّءۡیَا ٱلَّتِیۤ أَرَیۡنَـٰك means that the scene that was shown to you.. But you are distracted due to Ustad Imam, he is also a human being and can have a mistake in judging the verses. 6- There may be so many dreams which are seen by and described by Prophet PBUH in Sahih Ahadiths but Allah SWT is not taking the lead to describe them that I have taken or I have arranged ascension of Prophet PBUH.. so think Ghamdi Sahib, the great!

There are number of discrepancies in Ghamidi's view of the Miraj 1. Syrah Bani Israel 17:1 the word used is Abd which is only applied to a person with physical body + Ruh + living being. This is proof of the physical journey 2. The Prophet PBUH saw Musa (AS) praying in his grave and Musa AS was buried in Palestine so it was definitely Al Aqsa mosque 3 Ghamidi has omitted and quickly skipped the Surah Najam Ayats at 29:22, it's impossible for anyone to see sidrat ul muntaha from the gorund. This is no hadith or tafseer supporting this view of Ghamidi and this is own interpretation 4. If Miraj was not a physical journey and a dream only then why Quraish and Abu Jahal argued about it ?? Anyone can see any dream and even Abu Jahal would visit a lot of places in his dreams. 5. Ghamidi has quoted only one hadith but haven't explained Hadith 163 Shahih Muslim 6. During the Miraj 2 the last two ayyats of Surah Baqra were directly revealed to the Prophet PBUH ( Sahih Mulism Hadith 173) , Quran is never revealed in a dream so Ghamidi's view completely wrong here 7. Upon his return the Prophet PBUH saw a caravan of Quraish and descended to them and drank water from them. They arrived the next day and verified the presence of the Prophet (PBUH) 8. All Shia hadith in this regard narrated by Imam Jafar Sadiq also consider this a Physical journey. Ghamidi's explanation and argument does not add up.

Maine to socha tha k is episode mein bahot gahre raaz khulnkr samne aayenge. Lekin mujhe lagta hai k aur kisi doosre episod ki zaroorat hi baqi nhi bachi hai. Khair hamare ulema ne taaweelat kt rkhi hongi unka jawab dena bhi zarooori hai..
