Bishop Barron is 80% in agreement with Father Goring, as this video says. The problem with Fr. Goring view, is that he is ignoring the point of Bp. Barron argument: if Salvation is a gift for all, but the pagans didn't receive the opportunity to receive such a gift, then God is unjust. That's why Lumen Gentium says that the gift of salvation must be available to invincible ignorant pagans. And that gift must be Christ, because He is the only way to Salvation. And, as Bp. Barron says, that is not an impediment to Evangelism. Salvation is much more secure when it is sacramentally in the Church. That doesn't mean that Christ (and by extension the Church) cannot offer Salvation tacitally to the Pagans, even if with less security and less Truth.

@@Spectrometer Fr Mark's view is consistent with Church teaching since Apostolic times, on these points, Bishop Barron's is not. Christ tells us he is the only way to the Father, those who are outside his body, the Church, run a real risk risk of being lost. We must prayer they return to the fullness of the faith.

Anyone who has listened to any given sermon by Bishop Barron knows that he is a student of St. Thomas Aquinas. In Part 1 of the Summa Theologica, Question 13, article 4, ad.3 St. Thomas stated that: God is one in reality, yet multiple in idea. Bishop Barron said as much in his sermon, Fr. Goring denied as much in his. What do you call a person who publicly accuses another person without good reason? Why attack Bishop Barron publicly? What can Fr. Goring's motives have been when he released this video? Guts? I think not. Shameless self-interest? I think so.

The video you’ve watched and Father Mark Goring who’s sent it ARE authentic, but the commenters under his videos are lately (since December 2020 at least) plagued with scammers’ attacks. And these scammers use many different aliases, among others “Bishop David Oyedepo” (two separate accounts with slightly different pictures) who used to con people for money for a “Nigerian orphanage” with a mixture of some magic threats and “saintly talk.” Then the scammers appropriated the name and picture of the real Fr. Mark (the name usually has some slight differences in the way it is written) and post the scamming texts to the commenters under the real Fr. Mark’s videos. People like Fr. Goring very much and must be glad to see that Fr. Mark has replied to them, the problem is it’s NOT Fr. Mark, but the impostors who are trying to scam them for money with their texts. And the impostors have several accounts, every one with Fr. Mark’s name and picture, only slightly altered. The main difference between the real Fr. Mark’s reply and the fraudulent scamming text is that when the true owner of a KZfaq account replies to a comment under his video, his name is highlighted in gray, and the impostors’ isn’t. Then, if you click on the profile picture, you will see that the impostors’s accounts are created very recently and have no subscribers and are completely empty, while the real Fr. Mark has lots of subscribers and uploads new videos every day. A few persons try to report the scammers wherever we see them, but sometimes they don’t disappear. So we try to warn the targeted people whenever we can. I just wonder who reported the scammer I’ve seen here under your comment before - was it you yourself or maybe the real Father Mark, because he replied to me a few hours ago? I just don’t know who has to report the comment (or a response to it) to KZfaq to have it deleted. Ditto, Gloria. It’s an uncanny coincidence (maybe not??), but it’s as if Fr Goring was at the Mass I attended this morning. Our priest even referenced Lumen Gentium and V2 as well. And he had us use a breathe-in-breathe-out technique while listening to a litany of Names of Jesus. “What’s in a name?” was the theme of the homily. Similar to Bp Barron’s sermon, this one was perhaps 80% on-target. Just enough irregularity to create this face: 😬

He interviews people who have converted, reverted or became Catholics from atheism; every background you can think of. The stories are always sincere and so revealing what their journey was to the Catholic faith. I think you'd really enjoy it and may truly relate to their stories. @@gjekaj: But have you checked it thoroughly? The fake account is completely empty, while the real Fr. Mark posts videos every day and the real account was established 8 years ago, while the fake account was established 5 days ago, and the picture inside the real account shows Fr. Mark in front of some wooden house. And the real Fr. Mark has 153 thousands of subscribers! The impostor does not have any subscribers! Also, the real Fr. Mark never asks us for money! And he has warned his viewers against the scammers who hijacked his name and picture and scam people for money! He did this a few weeks ago in a video titled “SCAMMERS!!” The impostors have a few of these fake accounts, every one with the same picture and Fr. Mark Goring name, but the way the name is written changes slightly (sometimes it’s in blocks, or the dot is in different place, etc.) Besides, when the true owner of the KZfaq account replies to a comment or comments himself under his own video, his name gets highlighted in gray. The fake account is not highlighted in any way! Please check it all yourself!

@@gjekaj: And it’s not only you who was targeted by the impostors/ scammers. They attack hundreds of people from various fake accounts with exactly the same text, a mixture of some magic threats and “saintly talk” and con them for money for some “orphanage.”
