I just learned that Frankie passed away (almost 10 years after his rescue) so I went back to his rescue footage and created a new video with NEVER-SEEN-BEFORE footage AND with a couple of photos of Miley at the end. You can see that she is getting older too ❤️

It's a powerful thing, rescuing a dog, the best comfort you can find when they pass is that you gave them more life than they ever would have had on their own. He lived an extra *10 years* of luxury and family around him, although it's sad he's passed, I'm sure he lived an incredible life after you found him. Death is not the end, just the start of a new chapter. RIP little guy, he reminds me of my own chihuahua/pug rescue. RIP to my little guy too. 💕

@@twinklestar4814 yes, they got word from the family now that Frankie passed...the description under the video said that in 2013 they got the call that a dog was living in the storm drain, they rescued him and he found a family....now over 9 yrs later, Hope for Paws found out that he has passed...so he lived that long with his family after being rescued...

It looks like Miley had skin allergies or a food allergy and lost her fur. My cat had allergies to grains and would lose fur until I got him diagnosed and switched him to grain-free food, which is what all cats should eat. The dry foods sold in grocery stores have corn meal and wheat and other grains, aside from lots of other bad things. With cats always go grain-free. And mostly wet food. They will live a lot longer. Dogs can tolerate grains if they aren't allergic. Cats cannot. Steer clear of supermarket cat foods that list corn, wheat and rice as ingredients.

@@phantasticdrago230 doubtful it's mange. Mange is a tiny creature that does damage to the skin, and leaves what looks like a crust on the fur. This looks like a food or even an environmental allergy to me, ie, allergy to dust mites. Cats found in hoarder situations often tend to lose their fur through exposure to irritants in their surroundings. Her fur looks clean, but hard to tell from a video, of course I could be wrong, it could also be an allergy to something in the environment. 😓

Thank you for the update. I remember watching that rescue. It made me cry then, and now I'm crying for him again. It's so sad that people dump or abandon animals, and don't try to re-home them or take them to a shelter. Frankie will live on in many hearts!

Oh Frankie!!!! I will never forget your rescue video!! Especially being a proud Chihuahua rescue parent. Miley did so well with him. Frankie no doubt was a tough cookie; most chihuahuas think they are 80lbs too ;-) So glad he lived amazing 10 years with his forever pack. Glad to see Miley looking so amazing and healthy. THANK you Eldad for crawling around that less than delightful sewer maze to save Frankie. THANK you for not giving up on him and saving him!

It fills my heart knowing the good, happy life Frankie had. I agree...it would've been risky to adopt Miley & Frankie together. Seems sometimes big dogs don't know their own power over the littles. At least they had recovery time together...they both know/knew love, that's what matters. 🥰 Rest easy little Frankie. 💞🐾🌈

I have donated $5 multiple times after watching your wonderful rescues! 💞🐈‍⬛🙆🐕 If you have $5 for every dog or cat you rescued, I don't think you'd have to worry about money for at least a half year!
