When we were thinking about who could usher us into our summer sabbath and help us really think about resting well, we knew it had to be one of our favorite pastors and leaders, John Eldredge. I'm so grateful for John and the wisdom he always shares as we walk into the next season. We talk a lot about taking care of the condition of our soul, asking God what we need this summer, and what life with God looks like. If you aren’t listening to John's podcast, Wild At Heart, you know I don’t like to “should” people around here, but you have GOT TO CHECK IT OUT. My mom my 2 sisters. And I are going to Dawson Creek Canada for 12 days in July we are super super excited about it!!:) And I would absolutely love to get married again someday if God decides to bring an amazing Passionate Godly man into my life in His perfect timing. A suggestion for large family vacations and stepping away…wouldnt it be good to have a visual tell…a certain color hat or a rubber bracelet to signal to the family that you’re taking a minute? Like oh cousin sue is down by the lake, I should join her. But if she’s wearing the red bracelet she can signal that she’s taking some time and is not up for company. That saves sue from either saying out loud “please go away” or tolerating company she wasn’t expecting.
