@mike h all muddy, traces seems like mud was put on the PS2 with a brush, uniformed internal rust, like someone let it intentionally to rust, and the overall conditions are too good to be a "PS2 trown away on some random Mountain"

Ah, what a totally real restoration where it looks like it was there for years but the metal contacts and circuits on the boards haven’t been corroded away to orange dust. I’m convinced.

You know solder is made from a corrosion resistant lead-tin right? I'm not saying this is real I'm saying that that point is just stupid, the ps2 slim is only like 15 years old.

@@CheatcodeGamingOfficial aside from solder, all the various other metal components that aren’t corrosion resistant, such as connector pins on the ports, exposed wires, stuff like capacitors, etc. would be rusted/corroded on a console that had sat in the elements long enough to look like the one the dude “found” in the video. Even if it was not beyond repair, he should at least have had to scrub the rust and corrosion off of that metal stuff, and possibly even replace the pins in the controller and memory card ports, instead of just opening it and... there’s some dirt thrown in but underneath everything is shiny and new.

@@huniih9695 Yeah he did, and did a good job of it too, it was probably just sitting in a box of junk in someone’s garage tho lol. I love watching restorations, I just don’t know why so many channels need to start the video with an obviously fake “look at this ancient fossil I just found in a riverbed” type setup.

Wow only five years and your ps2 has already a problem. That's strange cause I have mine which is 18 years old and still working perfectly. There's only the the light signal of controller that turn off sometimes. I just have to wind the cable around the controller to turn it on. Among all console I tested and played with, the ps2 is probably the most durable games console and the best of all time till now. Also this is the console that made me discover the Ratchet, Sly and Jak games and these three franchises made my whole childhood.

The ps2 do not Run a usb controller without a OPL, and the opl need a memory card tô run, so the video os really fake, I wasted too many time on a fake video, please man, dont do things like this.

It’s nice and all that you restored it. But if it was sitting outside like imaged. There would be no fixing it. And it looks quite clean for sitting outside. But I love the video man!
