This is a great video! Great job getting the original history of such a piece to resurface again. I blindly bought a relic condition m18 off of eBay for dirt cheap, I saw the photos and it really looked like a berndorf behind-the-lug rivet and was luckily right, seller didn't know I suppose. Such an interesting piece of first world war history, yours is in very nice condition. I love your inclusion of the era photographs.

A great video , thank you. I have 2 German m16 helmets but they have both been painted. However I have British made Vickers helmet as used by the Irish army. Very similar shape. I think I'll try your method on it.

@@s.f8182 i used something about 2 spoons on 10l water, then 3 times let the helmet rest in the solution for about 15 minutes... important to work step by step...
