Beyond the Rocks is a classic film from the silent era, with Rudolph Valentino and Gloria Swanson.
Beyond the Rocks was rediscovered in 2003 at the Nederlands Filmmuseum (now Eye Filmmuseum), after having been presumed lost for many decades.
The restoration was carried out in 2005; this video was made shortly afterwards.

Question: Has your organization come across any more of Rudolph Valentino's lost films, such as "The Young Rajah" or any others? Sadly there are still a few of his films that have not been found.

I think Gloria fell in love with Rudy and wanted to marry him. They probably were having an affair - they made several movies together - but Rudy was not ready for marriage with her. She sings that song, "my wonderful one" in the early 1980's and has a picture of Rudy next to her.

Really? She never really mentions that from the few interviews I"ve read or seen. I understand that they took horseback rides together to discuss their miserable marriages. And she did praise the sound of his voice. But that's all I"ve gathered. Do you have any other news stories that you can cite with that info?
