NEMA has carried out further evictions of structures and businesses operating in the Busega Lubigi wetland in Kampala. This eviction is part of the ongoing efforts to restore wetlands that have been illegally occupied by encroachers. Nevertheless, the affected individuals argue that they possess ownership of the land on which they have been operating and claim they were not provided with prior notice.
