I know picking out the dirt and knocking the dirt out of the lighter is a great visual. But wouldn't be easier if you just took it over to the sink and rinsed it off?

Is it the same insert at the end? In the beginning of the video the top of the chimney was rusted away, but later it is not.

Needed a lot more work with finer grit paper before polish.

Stop using wire brushes and wheels. Sand or Walnut blasting would do a better job. Your pitting the metal with that stuff.
