Nice refurbishing project. If you will take the neutral line input and wire it to the other leg of the rocker switch, than the switch will light up when you turn it on... Also, if you want to keep paint from getting under the tape with stencils, first do a light spray with a clear coat of paint. That seals the edges of the tape and it won't allow paint to get under the edges. Thumbs Up!

Most restoration KZfaqrs will sandblast, wire brush, nickel plating. But I think sandblast, nickel plating then wire brush is much better. This restoration is perfect! 10/10

Remember kids.... NEVER re-use a grinding wheel that you do not know the history of ! ! ! Beautiful job as always mate = ) Hope you and yours are all safe and well.

as usual the result you achieved is wonderful. your precision makes the difference and it's a pleasure to watch your videos. However, I must make a clarification about the grinder which is not rusty at all but just dirty and slightly oxidised: a good cleaning and a wipe with steel wool would have been sufficient to make it 100% operational.

Прекрасная работа! Сервис неправильно перевёл на русский язык название реставрируемого станка. 😂 Это не мясорубка!

Nice renovation project. you do well . You apply stone protection glue and after a few days it will peel off. I have been in the repair business for 25 years. What I usually do is rivet a few rivets, which last until they break

Beautiful job. Shouldn't the frame of that grinder be connected to Earth ground to prevent a shock hazard if one of the internal conductors touches the case?

Great job. :) Instead of oil use copper grease where the axle and bearing meet. It will last forever and prevent any rust from coming ever again. Btw..I'm a blacksmith and machinist who enjoys your videos very much.

Nice job. But let me give you an advise: When you have oval holes, like th e holes in the grind stone housing, you hav to use washers underneeth the screwheads.

It's a good practice to replace old electrical cable with a new one. As the rubber gets, old it tends to break exposing live wire.
@John2009R5 ай бұрын
Yes, and replace it with a 3 wire (grounded) one and ground the housing.

11:27 I was afraid this would happen. Those tapes prefer tearing than being removed. Wouldn't it be easier to etch it with acid?

No dust extraction. It is extremely dangerous to breathe this dust. You need to attach a vacuum cleaner to the casings.

Love your videos, but am surprised that (a) you use an adjustable wrench instead of the right-sized socket, box or combination wrench (much less chance of rounding over nuts) and (b) no penetrating oil on any of the stuck fasteners. But keep up the great videos!!!
