A cracked display is no fun, and you don't want to cut your ear every time you answer a call. I know you’re thinking you just have to live with it. But I’m here to tell you, you don’t. And today I’m going to show you how to replace that broken screen on your Galaxy S9 +
This procedure is very different, so make sure you have the correct part before starting this guide.

Necesary tools:
- industrial adesive
- antistatic tweezers
- plastic tweezer
- guitar pick
- screwdriver, Phillips
- double sided tape of to stick the battery
- opening tool
-heat gun
-isopropyl alcohol

This video was really helpful to replace the screen on my friend's Samsung S9+. My best advice is that this project requires the proper tools and a good heat source for loosening the glue that binds everything (I used an 1850 watt hair dryer). The tool kit I used was the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit. Without the proper tools this job is not viable or at least very difficult. Thanks again for posting this.

I have a broken screen s9plus , but the repairing cost is around Rs21,000/- from Samsung. And you get used s9 plus for same price. So it's not worth repairing.

Just replaced my s9+ screen (with frame) with this video guiding me! It is actually not that hard. The only thing I messed up is the back cover which broke, luckily those are fairly cheap to replace (10 usd). For the people wondering, I bought the screen with frame (original replacement part AAA+ quality) on aliexpress for 155 euros.

@@apostoliagkolfinopoulou3776 I cant speak for others, but for sure I am not a really handy tech guy, but if you have patience and you can follow this video instruction then it is kinda easy. hardest part in my case is removing the backcover as I didnt had a heatgun (had to use a hairblower haha)

It isn't that hard. The hardest part is removing the back glass. After that it is just organization of screws and it is Mainly a few components to put together and wallah, you have a fixed phone.

4:55 you are aplying heat on the antennas. They should be removed otherwise they could get damaged!!! Everything else is just perfect, nice job. Also on 0:55 is that glue remover or plain alcohol, can you inform me and maybe provide from your store?

My screen and and back glass are both cracked i was thinking of getting them replaced but it cost £150 which is a lot so i might replace myself if it works out cheaper that is if i do I’ll be using this tutorial!!!

where can I get an inexpensive touch screen for my Samsung Galaxy s9 plus and the back cover I broke as well I also need to initially needed a charger port they sent me the wrong one that's why I ended up scratching the screen the second time around when the taking it apart again the phone charger didn't work wasn't the compatible one so if they send me the correct one the first time

Gogo, the screen of this device is a complete screen ( touch screen + lcd screen in just one piece) and the advice from the manufacturer is to perform the replacement of the full screen. Thank you for asking! Best regards

Actually this man doesn't know how to change the screen or anything, because to maintain the sealing of the phone, he should have put special sticky plastics all around before putting the back side of the phone back. This is some bad bad work. This Galaxy S9 will not even resist a waterdrop now . Thank you man

Saam, no mobile device, after opening it, is not resistant to the contact with liquids, do not cheat yourself and do not let them deceive you :) But still, it is proven that even before repairing it, it is not advisable to submerged in water, we have found several times humidity on the motherboard on devices that supposedly had the ip68. @@MovilonePhoneRepair I did screen and back cover with new fingerprint sensor change last week by myself. I cleaned every piece without tape using isopropyl alcohol, then heat back cover and press it to the lcd frame. Yesterday i put a phone under water, and it did survive, any liquid signs inside

I ended up taking it to a phone repair shop. They said the touch screens are very sensitive and would never do this method. They ended up using an old phone and transfering my motherboard in to it. Cost £150. It's basically the whole screen assembly that needs replaced not just the glass.

That turned out to be costly for you. I did the whole screen assembly but was getting a yellow triangle with a thermometer when I connected my assembled phone to the charger. It wouldn't turn on also. I ended up doing it all over again and my phone is like new.

Glad it worked out for you. Mine would turn on sometimes and randomly turn off itself with no screen output. I tried reassembly as well but didn't have any success. Guess I was unlucky.

Very simple. As long as you are careful and dont break the back glass, also not snapping the antennae cables from the connectors when disconnecting them

i love my samsung and dont regret switching from Appel. with that said why ,o why is this so complicated? i changed about 8 iphone screens on various models with no problem. this looks like you need a degree to pull it off.

I bought an s9 plus because ppl say original replacement parts are so cheap compared with apple repair cost , which costs as much as a new phone. Well, 2 years later, i wish i stick to apple because Samsung is equally expensive. There is no parts Avilable here and the distributor/ repair service are rare. Time to switch back to apple again. 🥺

This repair Chanel is as much for those who decide to repair in their houses as for those who already know how to repair and need some idea; Obviously there are easier repairs and others more difficult; the screen of s9 plus is not one of the easiest, I admit it but I assure you that following the steps of the video, with tools and patience can be performed. More than that, for any question you might have, I ll be glad to answer it.

Thank you, I'm going to go ahead and do my screen replacement for my s9, if anything this is probably the hardest phone to do but if you can do this phone then you can do all samsung and iPhones

Yes, because the screen is a complete screen ( tocuh screen + lcd screen in just one piece). Best regards

@@iamthat7351 no, they're just harder to replace in my opinion. Glass only replacement has a high risk of damaging the LCD and digitizer and needs special glue and uv light to seal back up
